As a kid I loved the series from Enid Bliton: The 5 Friends
I read each of them and tried them on my kids, but they did not like the stories.

Stephen King: A story about the end of the world and the devil taking over and an old granny saving the last few humans left. Cannot remember the title and cannot find it anywhere in the house. I believe a film was made, but not very good.

that is really it.... I like lots more books but it more about the way the author brings it accross.

Just got a book written by Patricia Cromwell: "The last Precinct" I have read all of her other works about Dr. Scapetta.

Another of my favorites is Joannah Lindsey. I have all of her books except for the last 2 she wrote.

Peace

Dani

Hi Dani:

Wow - that's a hard question! I am an avid reader and to pick just three is pretty difficult.

When I was a child my favorite author was Thornton W. Burgess and I read all of his animal stories. In fact, I have been collecting some of his old books lately.

J.R. Tolkien's Hobbit and Lord of the Rings has always been a favorite.

I also like almost everything Stephen King has written, William Horwood's series on Duncton Wood, and a great sci-fi series by Gayle Greene called The Ghatti's Tale.

What a wonderful question! You have just given me a most pleasant evening just thinking over all of the great "book friends" I have made over the years - too many to enumberate - I am one who reads a book & if I like the author - I read every book they every wrote - at different stages of my life the authors have been the Brontes, Dickens, Ayn Rand, but now that I have a shop - my reading has been curtailed. However, I again say - Thanks for the Memories.
Lynn of E.T.
