Take a look at the seller's other auctions.  I'm not sure where he/she got the prices from, but they are interesting.  There are two full sets of the Wimberley Tales, one with the frame for $200 or Best Offer and one without the frame for $150 or Best Offer.  And then there is this one tile for $100.00. or best offer.......I don't know if the new rules show the selling price on a best offer sale or not...does anyone out there know?

I deleted my first post because it was not very nice.  I am sorry about that!  I just can't imagine anyone paying $100.00 for one of the tiles.

Altho', it would  take something pretty major for me to part with mine!  I think it is the best thing that Mark Ricketts has done for HK.

I have at least one extra Artist tile and several extra of the Pre-Production tiles. I just haven't thought of selling them.  In fact, I'm very tempted to pick up one of these sets as a Christmas present.

I agree with you Catie, about it being one of Mark's best works. I love my set, infact I bought two when I found one real cheap and am in the process of stripping them and painting them darker more vividly. I know that totoaly kills the value of it, but I thnk they look awesome painted darker. The sculpts are amaizing with all the depth. My second favorite wall piece after "Wheel of Life" :-)

LOL...I won't tell Mark. But be sure to share pictures when you are finished.
I have a number of tiles that Martin 'played' with one wonderful day that we spent at his work bench and they are awesome.  Thanks for reminding me...now all I have to do is find where I've hidden them away.  (The move to Virginia from California was a nightmare!)

The Wheel of Life is impossible to compare to anything else.

Maybe this seller knows something we don't?

I agree that this is a wonderful tile and love the set.  And you are both right about Wheel of Life - it's one of my favorite pieces of HK.

apparently they did not learn their lesson the first time... the auction ended and they went right back and relisted it for $100 again!  Hey, I bet eBay is happy just collecting all those listing fees each time :-)
