Out of character comment: good luck ladies :]

It was a curious thing, the art of wrestling. Something that few people could figure out and even fewer people could master. It didn't take a genius to get into a ring, all it took was passion. Passion was something that Addison knew a lot about. Not in the sense that many would hope for it to mean but in the sense that she loved her job. You had to love the job if you were a wrestler cause there was no way in hell someone that hated the art would continue on in it. Addison hadn't spent her whole life trying to be a wrestler but she had spent the last four years of her life getting ready for the big leagues and although her debut match in the IWE didn't do much for her she was going to keep trucking. She would be facing women that were in that very match but she didn't get the chance to really examine their abilities when she was in the ring with them. It was hard to keep focus in her first match she was too excited about the crowd that surrounded the squared circle. She would make sure to get her head in the game in this match. It was important maybe not more important than her previous match but unlike that match this upcoming match would be for a title. The hardcore title. Addison's forte wasn't exactly hardcore wrestling. Although it would help to have a weapon in her hand to win that match. She was ready for the brusies and scratches that would come with the teritory. These women could hold themselves in the ring it was something that a lot of federations couldn't say the IWE was different though. All the divas on the roster could do amazing things and could roll with the punches Addison was no exception to that. She would roll with the punches and come out on top. She didn't have much reason to be cocky but she had a reason to fight and she was going to do just that to redeem herself from her previous match and she wouldn't give up. This was the chance to establish herself as an IWE superstar and passing that up would just be stupid. Addison was ready for anything that was going to be thrown at her and with this being a hardcore match that was a good theory.

Addison jumped down off the ledge. She looked around at her new apartment placing her hands on her hips. She had just moved to be closer to the IWE headquarters. She couldn't decide if she liked it much or not but that would be figured out soon enough. She had a beautiful view of the city of New York. She was a small town girl coming from Waterloo, Iowa wasn't much but she didn't care. Addison made her way towards a pile of boxes that stood beside her door. She grabbed one down and set it on the couch which was the only thing in the room that was out besides a couple of things in the kitchen. It was a wonder she even found time to move since she had been busy getting ready to be in her first IWE PPV match. She ripped the tape off of the box and opened it up. As she opened it she looked down to see her first pair of wrestling boots. She reached down grabbing them out. She smiled looking at the old pair of boots. She had held on to them for some reasons unknown. She examined them looking at the heel she saw that they were all torn up she shrugged her shoulders dropping them onto the couch. She looked through the box seeing old wrestling tapes of herself from when she began at 17. She smiled looking through it. Her phone then began to ring. She pushed herself up stretching her legs she walked towards the phone grabbing it off the reciever she put the phone to her ear.

Addison Sky; Hello?

Collin Smith; What are you doing?

Addison perked up quickly hearing the voice of the person on the other line. He wasn't a known wrestler but he had trained with her in her later training years. She smiled as she looked around her apartment for a second.

Addison Sky; I am getting a couple things unpacked, just moved to New York.

Collin Smith; I heard, that's why I called. I'm actually in town right now and I wanted to know if you'd like to join me for dinner. I'm really interested in hearing about your career.

Addison looked a little shocked. She wasn't sure how he had figured out about her new job but she wasn't going to complain about getting a dinner invite. She figured she would get a little lonely so far from home but she wasn't to worried about it.

Addison Sky; Wow, yeah where did you wanna go?

Collin Smith; There's a little cafe about a block away from times square. So we should meet up there.

Addison nodded her head quickly realizing that he couldn't see her doing that. She hadn't been able to discuss her match with anyone and she was more than excited to jump at the chance to get what she had to say off of her chest.

Addison Sky; Yeah, what's the name?

Collin Smith; It's called the brightlight cafe

Addison Sky; Okay cool, I'll see you there at sevenish?

Collin Smith; Yeah, sounds good. See you then.

Addison Sky; Yeah, bye.

Addison hung up the phone quickly. She bit her lip as she set it on the reciever. Her expression changed quickly as she realize that she hadn't gotten anything unpacked besides her wrestling boots and tapes. Maybe she was focusing too hard on her job and not enough on her real social life. She ran towards the boxes and searched them for clothes to wear.

Addison laughed before taking another bite of her salad. Collin sat across from her and there was a piano playing in the background.

Collin Smith; So you haven't really told me anything about the IWE, I wanna be in the know about it all.

Addison shrugged her shoulders. She didn't know much about the IWE either she was just getting to know the place and barely the people.

Addison Sky; Well there isn't much to know. It's a wrestling federation, that's about it. I mean it's got good talent and such but there isn't much else.

Collin took another drink of his water looking back over to Addison. She drank her wine.

Collin Smith; What about your match?

Ahh..the question that Addison had been waiting for. She had built up a lot to talk about since finding out about the match but going to anyone in her family just wouldn't work seeing as they thought it was a rediculous job for a woman to have. A small smile trickled onto Addison's faces as she set up to talk about it looking over to Collin.

Addison Sky; Collin, I don't think you even realize how long i've been waiting to have someone to talk with this about. It's my second match in the IWE and it's for the hardcore title so I get to be in a hardcore match the three other women. They all know what they're doing for the most part or so they come off as. I can't say that I know much about my opponants but at the same time they really don't know anything about me. They all have their special gimmicks which I could careless to learn about but I guess I'm only worried about taking each of them out and winning my first title. Although having the hardcore title was never really something that I put on my to do list when I started wrestling I'm not gonna turn down the chance to get a shot at a title. Plus this is only going to jump start my career in the IWE, it definidently won't hurt it. I mean even if I do lose, which I think we can both agree isn't going to happen, I'll put up a damn good fight and show that i'm worthy of something in the place.

Addison sat back in her chair pushing herself further from the table. She looked over to Collin who was still eating.

Collin Smith; So you're pretty confident then?

Addison nodded her head.

Addison Sky; I wouldn't call myself over confident though. Like I know what I'm doing with it. It isn't just me being a cocky bitch acting like I'm better than everyone else like half the women on the roster. I actually have some skill and I'm going off that fact rather than just assuming that I'll be the best the fed has seen and I'll have all the glory. I'm playing it cool and relaxed..you know like me. Just going in there doing what I can do pushing that extra 10% and hopefully getting the win. I'm not gonna make snap judgements though and say i'm better than my opponants cause although it will hopefully be true I can't exactly tell you.

Collin Smith; Didn't you already compete with these ladies?

Addison Sky; Well yeah, I was much more focused on being out in the ring in front of a real audience for the first time though so it was kinda overwelming there wasn't much time to study them and whatnot. It doesn't matter I guess. I mean I have a lot of drive from just thinking about holding a title. It'll be my first title and i'd say it's not a horrible one to hold. You can use whatever you want in the match and that always helps out a lot. I'm not a complete expert on hardcore matches but if memory serves me right you can use a lot of weapons if you choose. And I definidently think that it will be on my agenda to use that to my advantage. My only concern is of course my opponants that they're going to do the same thing as me which well that could turn out pretty bad, but i'm already over that fact because I think that can dodge it just enough.

Addison shrugged her shoulders again pulling herself into the table again. She took another drink of her wine. she set it down and set her elbows on the table holding her chin up with her hands she looked over to Collin who was finishing his steak. He wiped his mouth off as he looked up to Addison. The piano was playing a beautiful song. Addison looked around the resturant getting a little restless with the place.

Collin Smith; What? Ready to go?

Addison laughed a little putting her hands in her lap. Collin called for the waiter who brought the check. Collin paid for it willingly and Addison and him left the resturant. As Addison walked home all she could think about was her match. She was going over what she knew about her opponants (which was very little) in her head as she counted her steps. It was an odd thing that she had done since she was little but it was something that helped her to focus which she thought she needed to do. Maybe she was exaggerating the match and the thing at stake here but as she saw it a lot was at stake for her. Maybe not for the other ladies who were obviously a little more established in their IWE careers Addison wasn't. She held her purse close to her as she entered her apartment building. She made her way up the six flights of stairs and finally made it to her apartment. She grabbed the keys quickly out of her black purse and unlocked the door. All the boxes were still stacked next to the door. Addison smiled to herself as she set the keys on the kitchen table. She made her way over to the couch that had her old wrestling shoes sitting on them. She picked them up sitting down on the couch. She looked at the boots once again. She reached down to her feet taking off the tall heels and leaving them on the floor. She grabbed the boot beside her and slipped her foot into it. she laced it up and stood looking down at the boot. She nodded her head still smiling feeling right at home.

Out of character comment: I'm bored and I made myself a new banner that I want to show off

A hardcore match was obviously not just a simple match to be apart of. It included much more than the regular things. Addison wasn't a simple person. She used things to her advantage in order to get what she wanted. She had done it all her life so being the hardcore champion only made sense to her. She had a lot of things that she had skipped through in her life but this opportunity would not be something like that. She wasn't stupid when it came to this kind of stuff. Addison ran her hand over the top rope in the small practice ring. She had been spending a great deal of time in the ring readying herself for what was coming. She was going up against women that had a lot of experience in the ring and Addison didn't have all that much. She had spent most of her wrestling years valeting for men and cheering them on. While she felt more at home inside the ring wrestling she felt much more confortable with her actions on the outside of the ring. She would adjust just like anyone else though. She knew how to handle things and she would show that to the world when she stepped into the ring for Deadly Retribution. Cara, Faith, Catherina they couldn't stop Addison from reaching the ultimiate goal. Sure it wasn't the women's championship but it was a championship none the less and winning one in her second match in a federation would make her feel better than ever. She wasn't going to gloat of course because people like that got old. That was the majority of people in the IWE and Addison wasn't willing to be one of them. She would have some highs and she would have some lows but Deadly Retribution wouldn't only bring good news for Addison. Addison locked up with the trainer in the ring. He was an older looking man and he had on ancient looking wrestling boots. Addison was in her normal work-out attire with her old wrestling boots on her feet. They were scratched but she could careless. The man pushed Addison back and she stumbled into the ropes giving him a glance. She then looked to the mat rolling her neck to one side and then to the other. The trainer placed his hands on her shoulders causing her to look up to him.

Trainer; Addison you just need to keep your focus. I can tell that your mind is elsewhere and that's going to be your greatest downfall.

Addison Sky; Tell me something I don't know.

Terry shook his head bringing his hands down on his hips from Addison's shoulders.

Terry Brooks; Addison. I know this is a big deal for you so you don't wanna screw it up. What's on your mind.

Addison Sky; It's just this match. It's not like it's all I think about but i'm so anxious waiting for it. I can taste that gold Terry. I can taste and smell that sweet victory. I want it and I know i'm going to get it. I know that these girls are going to put a lot into it but I can put 10 more percent than they do. Well hell they may not even show up which is almost throwing me off more than thinking about what i'm up against. We've got Cara, who I of course don't know much about but going off of judgement she seems a litte ditzy. She seems to know what she's doing in the ring but she would be thrown off in a second and I am going to make sure to keep that weakness filled up. I'm not expecting Cara to be my main opponant but I can tell that I'm going to have to pay attention to her. Faith may be my biggest competition. She has a air about her that she brings to the ring however sometimes I feel like it's all just an act. I don't know all that well though so I mean I could have my facts mixed but but really to me that doesn't matter in the least because I'm just going to keep my mind on what matters the most. My performance in the ring.

Terry Brooks; Which is why you're here.

Terry's blunt remark lead Addison to blush a little bit. She got off on little rants and no one could really stop her. She rolled back her shoulders before facing Terry again. They pushed back and forth neither one wanting to be the first to give up. It was apart of Addison's will. She had every peice of heart that was needed for the puzzle of a hardcore match. She couldn't be stopped when she was started it was something that people would have to learn and love. Addison finally pushed Terry back into the turnbuckle overpowering him. After backing him into the turnbuckle she quickly suplexed him picking up two times her weight. Terry looked up at her as she stared down at him in awe. It didn't seem like much of a deal to the average person because wrestlers did it everyday but with female wrestlers it was a different story if you weren't Chyna. Addison moved in front of Terry helping him to his feet.

Terry Brooks; Well where the hell did that come from?

Addison laughed a little bit.

Addison Sky; I just imagined that this was for the title and I went for it...wow..that sounded cheesy. Anyways, it's true. I was just thinking about the match and well I guess that's the result. That's a good thing right?

Terry Brooks; Hell yeah it's a good thing. Addison you have what it takes you just need the motivation. Don't be intimidated..

Addision Sky; I am not intimidated by anyone Terry. I know when to stand off and when to step up and I know that right now I need to step up and I'm doing that. Be happy old man!!

Addison steps back away from Terry crossing her arms as she looks at him.

Terry Brooks; Don't get ahead of yourself now you need to keep yourself at a realistic level.

Addison nodded her head. She had heard it a million times before and she did nothing to egg it on. She was a level headed person and she never talked herself up, well not as much as a lot of other women around the IWE. Addison was laid-back and mellow about matches never arrogant and never doubtful. She would just go out to the ring and get done what needed to be done and she would be satisfied no matter what the outcome was.

Addison Sky; You're a good teacher Terry.

Terry Brooks; I know.

Terry flashed a smile and Addison hit him playfully.

Addison Sky; talk about staying realistic.

Terry Brooks; I've had a lot of experience and can really say that I'm one of the best.

Addison Sky; It's a wonder that I'm not extremely cocky.

Addison shrugs her shoulders.

Terry Brooks; You stay that way. You are perfect the way you are. As a person and in the ring.

Addison let out a nearvous laugh.

Addison Sky; I promise I'll stay that way Terry. Even after I win the hardcore title.

Addison winked towards Terry as he laughed.

Terry Brooks; You're getting off to a horrible start.

Addison shrugged her shoulders once again.

Addison Sky; Different person in the ring than outside of it. More so when it's a hardcore match. You aren't going to recognize me in that ring Terry. Not because I'll be bloody..but because I'm going to turn into a whole other person. A person that quite frankly doesn't care much about other people and hurting other people. Sure I've got a heart but you won't be able to tell in that ring at Deadly Retribution. I want that title Terry perhaps more than my oppoants seeing as they really haven't shown their faces as of lately. I won't count them out though, the fact is that I want it. I'm willing to go through whoever I need to in order to cement my name in the IWE history books. I want to be known and that's what it's all about for me.

Addison nodded her head and looked across the room at the clock that had been making a loud clicking sound the whol time they were conversing.

Addison Sky; Crap, I've gotta go.

Addison walked quickly towards the ropes getting through them and jumping down onto the hard mat outside.

Terry Brooks; Good luck! Call me if you need anything.

Addison simply rose her hand as she pushed open the door to the gym leaving the area.

Out of character comment: obviously I don't need a third one but I don't have anything better to do; This is a really chessy r/p but i was inspired

The broken down and weathered old barn stood up tall in a field of grass. Addison stared straight at it in awe. It was an old barn one that had been built by her great-great grandfather. It's paint was tattered and tainted peeling off the barn as she looked at it. She had learned many things from that simple barn. It may just look like an old barn but inside of the barn Addison learned things as a child. When she was just five years old her sister and her were playing inside of the barn like children normally would. They ran around the inside of the barn playing tag. Addison ran up the ladder quickly into the hay she laughed as she awaited her sister to arrive in the same area. She got up there and the girls ran around a little up there. Somehow in the middle of it all Addison stepped too close to the edge making a simply mistake that most children would make. Her foot slipped causing her to tumble down to the barn floor below. As she lay there all she could feel was pain in her arm. Blood trickled down from her arm. That was the moment that she learned what pain was. Since then she had that experience she had the ability to handle pain to pull through when there was pain. It was a great gift to have and one that few children learned from. Another thing that Addison had learned from the barn was how to be on the other side of the pain. To give the pain. Now as a child of course pain wasn't the intent. Her sister and he ran into the barn once again playing. They were sword fighting with two 2x4s of wood. They would hit them together and jab at one another and finally Addison swung the piece of wood hitting her sister in the head as hard as she could. It resulted in a concussion. Addison stood over her sister who was out cold and she stared down at her. It was a nightmare in her mind until she found the sport of wrestling. It haunted her until she had embraced her ability to give pain. Giving pain like that didn't haunt Addison anymore. She looked innocent on the exterior but inside she had a true passion that would drive her to limits many wouldn't go to. Addison was cautious, but daring at the same time. It was hard to have a mix of the two. But Addison had learned things and those things weren't going to be failing her when she stepped into the ring.

Addison turned around away from her view of the barn. She was back in Iowa, just for the day. She was grabbing a couple of other things she would need for her new apartment and she was talking with her family something that she didn't do enough of. She met the eyes of her grandfather as she turned around. He was in his early 70s and in very good shape for his age. Addison looked up to him. He was the man that showed her the world of wrestling for the first time. She could still remember watching the WWF in the old times. The IWE was a different story than the fairytale land of the WWF. Wrestling had changed with time, which was obvious. Now there were higher expectations and more compeitition.

Larry Tyler; Addy, you comin' inside for dinner?

The two stood in a pool of green grass. Addison looked back at the barn only for a second. She then looked back to her grandpa who was scratching his beard waiting for an answer.

Addison Sky; I was thinking about that barn and how it prepared me for my match.

Larry let out a little bit of a laugh that was quickly smootherd by a cough.

Larry Tyler; Is that where your head has been today? I knew you were thinkin' about something I was just hoping it wasn't another boy.

Addison shook her head walking closer to her grandfather.

Addison Sky; No, only that match. That barn taught me what the term "hardcore" means in the wrestling business. You're gonna get hurt and you're going to hurt others severily. It's a concept easy to understand but hard to really learn. Then again, I think anyone could be good in a hardcore match. Hell all you have to do is swing around a chair at anything that moves and you can take everyone out. It's an art though and very few can master that. I hope that i'll be able to. Maybe hold that title for awhile. Cause even though the women in the match will say well it's JUST the hardcore title, it's a title none the less and one that they won't have.

Larry Tyler; Determined eh?

Addison Sky; Of course. I'm pretty determined with everything though. I always want to pull out my best even if I don't think it's possible sometimes. I think that people don't expect a lot from me just yet in the IWE but I'm out to prove that wrong about myself. I lost my first match and I didn't last all that long in it so it's really important to get myself out there and show everyone what I can really do instead of being one of those girls that lives through another person's career, like I used to do. I need to get out there and show that my true place is in that ring where I orignally wanted to be. Not at ringside cheering for some guy that needs me to get him wins. I'm sick of letting other people take my glory and so at Deadly Retribution, i'm gonna win that title and I'm gonna prove myself to be a good singles competitor and after all that's done then maybe i'll go back to the old shit, but I don't think I want to do that.

Her grandpa nodded his head understandly. He walked closer to her pressing his hand on her shoulder.

Larry Tyler; I'm glad you're reaching for your goals Addy. Even though your mother doesn't understand it. You're doing your best at what you love and that's better than anything.

Addison Sky; Thanks. You're the reason I started wrestling at all and you know what i'm glad you introduced me to something that I could actually do well, cause lord knows I wasn't going to be a scholor like my mom wanted. In wrestling it isn't about what big words you can say it's about what big moves you can pull and how badly you want something and I'd say I'm a lot better when it comes to pulling big moves rather than saying big words. This company grandpa they know I can make it and I'm gonna prove them right at Deadly Retribution when I walk away from that match with a title in my hands. Then everytime I face someone I'll defend it with honor and pride and it won't get lose from me until I get a shot at that women's championship. I'm moving up in this world and no one is stoppin' me.

Addison smiled looking up towards her grandfather.

Larry Tyler; That's the attitude to have right there.

Addison Sky; Damn right!

Larry Tyler; Now lets go eat.

Addison nodded her head agreeing with him. The two began to walk towards the house.
