The large palace was splattered with gold and silver. There were guards on the outsides of the castle to make sure that no one would enter unattended to. Hadley walked through the corridor with her advisor. He seemed almost nervous, he obviously knew the nature of Hadley. She wasn't exactly hot-tempered but she wasn't the nicest person either. He nodded his head as Hadley lifted her ring filled hand up to her chin. She patted it lightly almost as if she was thinking. She looked over to her advisor once again. Princess Hadley; So, James, you're telling me that in order to win the crown that is rightfully mine, I have to go to battle with two heathens? Hadley had developed a british accent that echoed through the large corridor. James, the advisor, nodded his head. He looked reluctant to even speak. James; Yes my lady. It's an odd consequence but after hearing about your father's death there are two other princesses hoping to get this kingdom to add to their own. Hadley looked to the ground, he gown was elegant much like any princess' would be. She looked back up to James with a stern look on her face, she meant business and she wasn't going to back down for sure. She clasped her hands together setting them gently in front of her. Princess Hadley; Selfish, that's what that is. Who are these women? James cleared his throat. He didn't want to tell her. He shrugged his shoulders a little bit and finally decided to tell her. James; Well my lady it's actually Ashley the third and Katya the second. I realize... Princess Hadley; Ashley III you say? The princess of Dumbtwat? The woman that I despise is trying to take over the land that I earned? James nodded his head slightly. James; Yes, well she and Katya have told many of their messengers and advisors that you have been handed this land and they believe that they can rule over it much better than yourself. They are very passionate about being a ruler and they want to overrule you. James' words were blunt but Hadley didn't mind it. She gave him a stern look nodding her head slightly. Princess Hadley; I can't say I've heard of this Katya the second, well not much at least. James; She is the princess of stupidcunt. Apparently much like Princess Ashley, she wants to rule over classy...as Queen. Hadley took in a breath holding in her anger. She then let it out slowly turning her attention to James with an almost evil grin on her face. She nodded her head looking as if she was assuring herself of something. She lifted her hand unclasping them from each other. She pointed towards James stopping him in his tracks. Princess Hadley; Well James, you tell them...you tell their advisors that if they want this kingdom I will not go down without a fight. They will have to prove themselves as a good enough queen, they have to prove that I haven't earned this land with my hard work in helping my father. Tell them, that I will be queen nothing will stop me. Hadley's words were intense and they sent James stumbling back a little bit as she poked at his chest. She pushed up back a little bit and walked off down the corridor by herself. Hadley made her way into her room. It was a grand room designed with expensive tapestries and golden statues. She walked to her vanity sitting down. She looked around for a second and then opened up the drawers of the vanity, she pulled out some paper, a can of ink, and a feather to write with. She looked into the mirror with a grin still on her face. She dipped the feather in the ink letting it drip a little before moving it over to the paper. She thought only for a second before pressing the feather down to the paper. "Dearest Ashley III, it has been awhile since we've talked and I cannot say that I'm entirely upset about it. I have heard the news of your coming and the plans that you have to overtake my country. If you think you're the only one then you had better think again because there is another princess involved and not one that is all too important. I know what you're trying to do here Ashley and I don't like the thought of it. You are just trying to put more obstacles in front of me but none of them are really working for you. When will you learn that no matter how hard you try you will never reach up to the kind of ruler I am, and the kind of ruler that my father was. You want to take this land, but yet you have to reason to have it. You say I don't deserve to be the queen of this land but yet you feel you do? You have done nothing to show your worth, you haven't won a battle or a war that was important enough to validate yourself as a good ruler. I can tell, just from word of mouth that you don't have any chance in this little war that you plan to start. Then again it's a war that has been going on for a very long time with you and I. You and I have been fighting many battles back and forth and yet you haven't won one. This is the last battle though Ashley. This is the battle that will end the war and determine me a winner. Don't make any plans for Classy, cause you will never be the queen of it. With Love, Princess Hadley Harper the first" Hadley smiled to herself happy with the letter she would send out to Ashley of Dumbtwat. She then set the paper to the side bringing another forward. She dipped her feather again in the ink and began to write once more. "Dear Katya II, according to my advisor I have gained information about your plans to have a little battle between my kingdom and your own. I cannot say I've heard much of stupidcunt, and I don't plan to hear much more of it. You see Katya as much as I am sure you would love to consider yourself a better Queen than me I have to break the news to you that my army is much stronger than any army you could imagine. I have been setting them up from the very start to take on anything and I assure you this is exactly the case. I am not sure if you are working with anyone to accomplish this petty dream of yours, but another princess, Ashley III of Dumbtwat, plans to invade my kingdom as well. Katya it has been said that you think very highly of yourself, and your army and I must say that your opinions mean nothing to me, much like I assume you would think the same of me. I fear I have to point out though, that I actually know what I'm doing. It might be a hard concept to understand but you are not the best thing to happen to this world, and much more to this country. You won't overtake my beautiful land, but I tell you what you will do. You will make yourself into a huge embarrassment, not for losing a war to soon to be Queen Hadley because that would be more of a honor, but for losing a war you thought you stood the best chance in. You see my dear, I know what confidence is and I have it, but I deliver my results. Will you be able to? My guess is not. I suppose though, princess that we will meet on the battlefields, for the first and the last time. Sincerely, Princess Hadley Harper the first" Hadley set down the feather with her grin still plastered onto her face. She hadn't ever met this Katya but she had heard stories of the wars she started. She had heard of her conquering other countries. Hadley had done just the same though if not better. Her country was growing and now that she was on her own, without her father she had even more to prove than before. A few days had passed since Princess Hadley had first gotten word of the plans of two neighboring princesses. They were blood thirsty women and were all more than willing to fight to get something they wanted. Hadley was the exact same way if not worse in fact. She was willing to put her own body on the line for the pride and glory that would come with winning not just any battle, but a war. One that had been brewing ever since her father had passed away and given her the land. Hadley sat in a room with all of her advisors. Hadley had set up her army and they would trudge into battle within the next couple of days. Advisor One; My lady, I have gotten word that the other princess' are moving quickly. They are on their way to our kingdom. Hadley nodded her head. She knew this day would come. The day she would have to step up to the task and take a risk. She turned to the advisor locking eyes with the intimidated looking advisor. Hadley's brown eyes glimmered in the light of the sun that came through the slit in the side of the castle. Princess Hadley; Do you know of how long ago they began their journey? The advisor shook his head looking worried. Advisor One; No my lady, but one of the knights...they informed me that they are growing closer. We need to take action. Hadley held up her hand to calm down the man. He huffed and puffed trying to calm himself down. Princess Hadley; They must have gotten my letters then. They are falling into line just the way I wanted them to fall. Naive little girls they are, they think they have the whole world on their shoulders as if they can handle the pressures of ruling over a land that matters. You know Matthew, they will never understand. Do you want to know why though? They won't ever understand because they will never get there chance at ruling a land that matters. A land like mine. A land that they could never have for themselves. Their obsession with my land, with what I own and what is mine for good reasons...it will end soon and it will end just the way it started, with me as queen. Hadley smiled and Matthews looked at her with a pale face. He seemed to have calmed down. He nodded to her. Matthew; Princess, all my faith rests upon you. I know that with you as our leader we will be just fine. Hadley nodded her head. Princess Hadley; Precisely. Matthew grabbed Hadley's hand kissing it gently and bowing to her. She nodded to him in thanks and he walked off. Hadley looked over to James who had been staring over at her with wide eyes. Princess Hadley; James..it's time. The battlefield was never seen as a place for a lady. The long stretch of dead grass with mud patches sticking out of it. At the front of the large Classy army sat Hadley on her pure white horse. She was wearing a suit of armor over her gown. She looked out upon her army. Princess Hadley; I stand before all of you men a woman. A woman that is being faced with a huge problem. You see these other two women want the same things that I do. They want power and they want to be recognized as the best. It's something that anyone would want to have, glory, pride, fame. These women are looking for nothing more than a title they don't want to rule over this land as well as I do they don't want to represent it to the fullest. They want to have the title, of being able to beat my army. They want to be known as the best army and they want to be heard. Remember though, there is a reason that people look to Classy for everything, there is a reason why I am good at what I do. They will not be able to keep this kingdom on it's feet and I will do my best to ensure that we continue on in being not just the best but being the boldest and the most intriguing. So go out on that field today and keep in mind who you want your ruler to be. Who you want to have as Queen. This is not just a battle for land, this is a battle for much...much more. So we will fight with all we have and lay our hearts on the field. There isn't a way that we can be stopped... Hadley grinned the army men had been yelling getting worked up and ready to fight. Hadley steered her horse to the front facing down up the hill. Ashley's army was on the other side of the large hill. Hadley looked over her shoulder at the riot about to happen. Princess Hadley; CHARGE!! With that the army, led by Princess Hadley charged over the hill and into the awaiting army from Dumbtwat. Hadley's sword sliced through a member of the army and the blood was left to stain. Hadley searched around for Ashley III. She was no where to be found. Hadley continued to help her army slicing up members of Ashley's army. Finally there she stood, her blonde hair was covered with a helmet. Hadley got a sadistic grin, thoughts flowing through her head of the carnage she would leave. Hadley tapped her horse with her heels making her run faster. Hadley reached Ashley who was on a horse as well. Princess Ashley; So here she stands, the great Princess Hadley. Ashley drew her sword, tempting Hadley. Princess Hadley; This battle is bigger than you Ashley, it's much more than you are ready for. Ashley shook her head and got down off of her horse with ease. There were people falling all around them but they didn't seem to notice. Hadley, with her blood stained sword, got off of her horse. Ashley pointed her sword at Hadley with a laugh in her voice. Princess Ashley; I shall give you a fair fight, the best woman will win. With that the two began their sword fight. The fighting went back and forth for only a moment and ended in despair for Princess Ashley. Hadley's sword pierced through her heart with one swift movement. Ashley stumbled back a little bit as Hadley drew her sword from Ashley's chest. Hadley had a boost of confidence right then and there as Ashley looked to her wound. Blood oozed from the cut as Ashley held her hand over it. She finally fell to her knees and then lay flat and motionless on the bare ground, her eyes still open. Hadley nodded looking at her sword stained with even more blood. She kneeled down by Ashley closing her eyes with her fingers. She then got to her feet looking around at the tons of motionless bodies, some belonging to Hadley and most belonging to Ashley. Hadley smiled as she saw her army general and nodded her head. She then got back on her horse riding over to him. Army General; I would've expected more from them. Hadley shook her head slightly. Hadley Harper; They didn't know any better, she was a young princess, power hungry because she finally got her first bite of it. It happens to some people, ones that lack in ability to rule. It's funny though, because she was so confident that she was better and that she would finally win this war..and now look at her. She's got nothing to show for it, for all the confidence. Now look at me, I've got blood on my sword and even more pride in my heart. A loud call was heard from across the way breaking Hadley's concentration. She snapped her head in the direction of the call. It was an unfamiliar call to Hadley. Her army general and her locked eyes as Hadley's narrowed the man's widened. Army General; Princess Katya, she's approaching. Are we ready for her? The general took a look around at the dead members of his army. He was obviously unsure; Princess Katya would have many more troops than them at this point. There was nothing that could be done; all they had to do was fight through it. Hadley nodded her head. Princess Hadley; I'm ready for anything. Her army may be strong but her heart is not. Sound our call! Hadley left the man with the orders and road off. She could hear the call coming from behind her as she road towards Katya's call. The army began to come together to go against Katya's army. Hadley stand at the front of them once again with her horse ready to go. Princess Hadley; Men, a well fought battle, but we are not done. We have proven once already that we are worthy of the land we live in..now we need to do it again and with much more force. I know nothing of her army, but I know something about ours. We are a strong one. We aren't just strong though we are inspiring. We are a story of greatness and we need to continue that tradition that my father tried so very hard to uphold. So men..go out and fight like you have never fought before! The sound of Hadley's voice was harsh and it gave the men motivation to continue on in this long battle. They began to charge back over the hill to where Katya's army stood. A loud bomb hit right on top of the hill exploding into thousands of pieces and throwing a lot of Hadley's army. Hadley watched as this happen and a fire ignited in her heart. She kicked her heels to the horse and it began to run. Hadley did the same with Katya's army as she did with Ashley's slicing them apart in search for the princess. The one that's confidence wasn't needed and the one that didn't know about Hadley's trials and tribulations. Hadley road fast her sword swift and her eyes darting around. She was on a hunt of her own to find this princess that thought she was going to be the Queen of Hadley's land. Finally...there she was. Hadley determined clicked her heels against her horse causing him to speed up once again as she met up with Katya. Her sword had already been drawn. The two stared at each other only for a second before starting their battle. Their horses twisted and turned around trying to accomidate the fighting. Finally with one leap Hadley jumped over to Katya. The two fell to the ground landing with a hard thud. They continued their sword fight as Hadley got to her feet. They went back and forth and with a swift movement Katya cut Hadley's arm open. Hadley let out a scream of pain and looked with fury towards Katya. They continued to fight getting cuts from the other. Katya hit Hadley's sword out of her hand, the sword flew across the way. Hadley didn't take her eyes off of the now smirking Katya. They were both breathing hard trying to catch what they had lost. Hadley's eyes were intense as she stared into Katya's. Katya brought her sword up to Hadley's throat threatening to slice her. Princess Katya; Are you ready to give up yet? Hadley didn't say anything she had too much pride to give up. She looked around for a second trying to figure out a plan. Then without talking she wrapped her hand around the sword pushing Katya back with it. Katya stumbled only for a second as Hadley ran back to get her sword. Katya let out an angry scream and ran after Hadley. Katya held her sword high above her head and brought the sword down onto Hadley. She was seconds away from diving the sword straight through Hadley's head, but she was stopped. Her sword dropped right in front of Hadley and She stumbled back. Hadley had pushed her own sword into Katya's gut. Katya fell back onto the ground, the sword still stuck in her. Hadley still trying to catch her breath got up slowly from the ground. She walked over to Katya pulling the sword out of her stomach. Princess Hadley; I never give up. Hadley looked up and around the field of dead. She could see that her army was almost gone, dwindled down to only a few dozen. Hadley shook her head and walked slowly to meet her army general. He stopped in his tracks walking towards her and got down on one knee bowing towards her. Army General; My queen... Hadley smiled. She then watched as the rest of the army that was left followed his lead. She had been called the princess for the longest time, but now she had earned her title. She had earned the right to be Queen Hadley and she would no longer be a little girl, she would be a grown woman. One that can fight any battle with pride and with strength. With that no one would be able to defeat her. She looked around at the respect that radiated from each man on the field. She had done something that no one had thought she was capable of. She had proved two women wrong and she would continue to do so as long as she needed to. There wasn't anything standing in her way now and she was going to make sure that it stayed that way. A loud thud woke Hadley up. She sat up quickly looking at her grandmother who was obviously trying to be quiet. She had knocked over a candle and she smiled innocently quickly picking up the candle as if it hadn't happened in the first place. Hadley rubbed her eyes a little bit still sleepy. Grandma Harper; Oh Hadley, I was just coming to check on you. Hadley smiled at her grandmother. Hadley Harper; Oh Mami, I'm doing just fine. |
