There wasn't a lot more that Hadley Harper had to do to make sure that her "queen" status was understood by all. She had taken down each opponent that threatened it thus far and continued to keep a confident attitude. She was ready to get in the ring every week and was loving each second of it. There had to be jealousy from the girls in the back but Hadley didn't much care about it. She was at a good place in her life and her career and she would make sure that remained the case. Her opponent for this week was a woman that Hadley had warned during her debut. Hadley had come up to Tapanga at the house show and informed her why she should just pick up and leave and somehow Tapanga was still there..her mistake. Hadley would now simply have to show her why she should've left in the first place. Then again Tapanga wasn't acting like a pathetic little wanna-be begging for title shots and pretending like she actually deserved it. That's what Hadley had seen in her last two opponents at least and she hadn't done much to prove them wrong. It was in her nature to have complete and total faith in herself, and she didn't much see that in Tapanga or many of her other opponents for that matter. Many people had stated that Hadley was going to fall sooner or later and she would disagree. At this point there wasn't anything that could put a halt to what she had started. It wasn't just a name for Hadley anymore, she didn't just call herself the queen she embodied it. People wanted to look down upon it but that wasn't a worry or even a thought in Hadley's mind, the only thing she cared about was her next match and winning it. Losing wasn't exactly an option for her at this point, especially if it was against someone with Tapanga's talent...or lack of talent. Hadley and Tapanga had never met in the ring and Hadley was expecting it for awhile but it never seemed to happen. She had been waiting for the day where she got to take on a woman like Tapanga a woman that seemed to have it all together. Tapanga had her semi-success thus far with her tag team partner Johnny Phoenix but that hadn't proved anything to Hadley. Winning a tag team match was much different than winning a singles match, and Hadley was much better at singles than doubles. In a tag team match you had something to fall back on someone that can catch you when you mess up and someone to blame when things go wrong. With singles matches you have nothing of those sorts all you have is you and your abilities and in Hadley's case that was all she really needed. Hadley was keeping her top status and she wanted to make sure that each and every woman in the OCW knew who she was. Of course Hadley had a good backing she was no longer the underdog and it would remain that way for quite sometime. Hadley was happy to take on Tapanga though because this was just another chance to prove her worth and to take down anothers. The problem was Tapanga was a kiss up, she wasn't exactly expecting a win and that disgusted Hadley. What type of wrestler actually went into a match thinking that losing was an opition. Certainly not Hadley, in fact that was completely against her morals and her ideas. Tapanga wanted to win, she wanted to win cause it would make her look better, but Hadley wanted to win because she loved nothing more than crushing dreams..and remaining a queen.

It was a night of regret for most, there had been a killer on the loose and no one could seem to figure it out. The word around town was the broad died for good reasons, but others would say differently. She was a mobster, apart of one of the biggest Spanish crime families the world had seen. This was a threat in itself. The whole town of Madrid, Spain knew about the crime families and most were apart of it. This was most likely a case of rivals, two crime families that didn't take a liking to one another. The crime scene was a normal one, nothing too gruesome. It took three shots to take the girl down, two in the gut and one in the shoulder. A pity too, the blonde wasn't too bad looking after all. The police didn't know exactly where to turn, they knew that no one was going to tell the truth, that was the problem with crime families. The police went the first place they could think, the rival family of the blonde, the Harpers. The different thing about this crime family was the fact that it was run by a godmother rather than a godfather. She was the baddest woman that Spain had seen and the world wasn't ready to meet her.

Hadley ran her tongue along her top lip against her fire engine red lipstick that glowed on her lips and matched the slick red dress that formed to her body. She held a cigarette in her left hand attached to a long extension. She brought the extension up to her pouty lips taking a long inhale. She looked across at the bigger man, who couldn't take his eyes off of her. Hadley then turned her head to the side taking the extension away from her mouth blowing out circles with he smoke. She let out a deep sigh tapping her cigarette into the ashtray.

Hadley Harper; So what is it that you want then?

The bigger man cleared his throat remembering that he had come to her for a reason. Hadley turned her head to look directly at him as he tapped his fingers on the table trying to keep his composure. Hadley rose her eyebrow waiting for his response.

Police Officer One; I'm not sure if you've heard Miss Harper, but there was a death today...

The officer left it open for a reaction but all he got was a yawn from Hadley. A brief silence took over the room as she shrugged her shoulders not too much caring to hear the news, as long as it wasn't anyone that she cared about.

Police Officer One; Well alright..anyways you may know her, Tapanga Britt.

Hadley chuckled to herself at the mention of Tapanga. She took a drag from her cigarette and blew out the smoke towards the officer. He moved to the right fanning it away from him shaking his head a little off guard.

Hadley Harper; What is it that you're getting at?

Hadley looked at the officer with a laugh on her lips, her eyebrow still risen.

Police Officer One; We've got a lot of talk that your family and her family didn't get along so well, I just need answers Miss Harper.

Hadley nodded her head sitting back in her chair letting her back arm rest on the back of the chair. She took another drag of her cigarette letting the smoke out. She then reached forward dipping the cigarette into the ashtray putting it out. She then leaned forward placing her arms on the table leaning in closer to the officer so that he could smell the sweet fragrance that radiated off of her neck mixed with the smell of cigarettes and wine. She smiled batting her long lashes towards the man.

Hadley Harper; Doll, I don't know what you're talking about.

The police officer rolled his eyes as Hadley sat back in her chair.

Police Officer One; You're telling me you don't know Miss Britt?

Hadley shook her head leaning back in her chair once again.

Hadley Harper; I know the broad, lots of people do if you know what I mean.

Hadley laughed at her own joke as the officer shook his head.

Police Officer One; Well how were the two of you tied then?

Hadley Harper; We weren't. I mean we weren't tight if that's what you mean. Cause you see her and I didn't talk much. I heard some about her and I assume she heard a ton about me. From what I heard though that made her jealous, I didn't start the little "feud" that you talk about she did. She did because she wanted to be the godmother. She wanted to be the one that everyone talked about and people couldn't keep their eyes off of. The problem was she was going about it all wrong see. I mean she thought she could sleep her way around grab the attention by doing crazy things. Apparently she didn't know that the only way to be cool is to stay cool see.

Hadley grinned a little bit before signaling to the waiter to get her a drink. The officer nodded his head as he wrote down what Hadley said.

Police Officer One; So she was jealous of you then?

Hadley Harper; That she was my dear and in the worst way. Envy can really kill a girl.

Hadley giggled to herself. The officer shot her a serious look but it didn't do anything. The waiter then stopped by the table setting down a glass of red wine. She took one drink and then quickly finished it off. The officer widened his eyes as she did. She stood up.

Hadley Harper; I'd love to talk to you more detective, but I'm a busy gal.

Hadley winked at the officer and walked off leaving him confused. Hadley quickly pushed open the doors out of the bar stepping out onto the sidewalk. As she did she looked to her side seeing Dameon O'Connor standing in front of the small restaurant his foot propped up against the perfectly laid bricks. Hadley nodded towards him and started walking the other way. Dameon let his foot fall as he started to walk towards Hadley. He placed his hand on his hat so it wouldn't fall off his head. He was dressed in an all black suit and a pal mal in his mouth. He took a drag of it pulling the cigarette from his mouth as he reached Hadley letting his hand fall from holding up the hat.

Dameon O'Connor; How'd that go?

Hadley snickered a little bit shaking her head as she reached into her purse which hung by her side. She searched through it and finally grabbed out her pack of smokes. She pulled one out and it didn't take long for Dameon to pull out a match to light it. Hadley nodded a thanks as she inhaled. The smoke poured out of her nose as she turned her attention to Dameon.

Hadley Harper; The coppers think they know what happened.

Dameon O'Connor; You can't trust em to be right.

Hadley shook her head.

Hadley Harper; I know. I can't say I'm sad about the little bitch dying. So they must think I done it. Her little obsession with me has made me a suspect in this bullshit case and I'm not going to jail for something that was my civil right.

Dameon looked a little confused.

Dameon O'Connor; So you did it?

Dameon looked a little intrigued. Hadley couldn't help but to laugh a little bit.

Hadley Harper; I cannot recall.

Hadley shrugged her shoulders and they continued down the street.

The next day...
Hadley had spread herself out on her sofa after her bath. She held a cigarette in one hand and a glass of scotch in the other. The only thing that covered her was a barely there nightgown and a small robe that was loosely tied in the front. She took a sip from her scotch and quickly set it down hearing a knock on the door. She looked over towards the door and placed the cigarette in her mouth as she got to her feet grabbing the small gun that sat next to her drink on the table beside her couch. She walked slowly towards the door sliding the gun into the pocket on her silk robe. She grabbed the cigarette out of her mouth curling her fingers around it as she held it away from her. She reached for the doorknob opening it up. Hadley's eyes widened as she looked outside to see Johnny Phoenix standing there his eyes were narrow almost as if he was expecting knifes to come out of his eyes straight into Hadley. Hadley then let a grin slip out.

Hadley Harper; Mr. Phoenix, what brings you here?

Hadley was on the verge of laughter as Johnny walked past her pushing open the door more he then turned to look at Hadley who had followed him with her eyes. She leaned up against the side the light gleaming in over her.

Johnny Phoenix; You know..you did this!

He was obviously angry. Hadley simply took a drag of her cigarette shaking her head as she blew out smoke.

Hadley Harper; I can't say that I know what you're talking about Mr. Phoenix.

Johnny Phoenix; Tapanga! You know!

His words were harsh and strong but they didn't seem to move Hadley. She finally pushed herself off of the wall and walked forward towards him shutting the door behind her.

Hadley Harper; Now now Mr. Phoenix something you have to understand about Tapanga is that she wasn't a smart girl. I know you'd like to think differently, hell a lot of people would probably like to think differently but that's not going to happen. You see because you little flower was too dumb to see when she was in trouble. She failed to notice that she was in deeper than she had expected and it's a sad day when a girl does that with the wrong person. That wrong person of course being me.

Hadley smirked pressing the cigarette to her lips. She watched Johnny though the smoke, his eyes lighting up with angry. He didn't say anything instead he wheezed trying to contain his breathing as steam seemed to come out his ears.

Johnny Phoenix; I knew it!

Johnny walked forward trying to get past Hadley but she stopped him in his tracks.

Hadley Harper; No. You don't even have a clue. Do you wanna know why? Because just like your precious Tapanga you don't pay attention. She didn't seem to pay attention to what she was getting herself into she didn't realize that she was trying to climb up hill on ice, she slipped.

Hadley giggled to herself and shrugged her shoulders taking another drag off her cigarette. As she took the cigarette away from her lips she puff out the smoke and licked her lips slowly watching as Johnny tried to keep his composure.

Johnny Phoenix; You will go to the police and turn yourself in.

Hadley Harper; Or what?

Hadley laughed in his face reaching behind her to open the door once again. She pushed it open and motioned for him to leave, but he remained still with a solid glare on his face. He then straightened up obviously trying to appear to be more intimidating, rather than intimidated.

Johnny Phoenix; Or I'll kill you and the rest of this family.

His words could sting, each word an assassination attempt on thee Godmother. Unfortunately for Mr. Phoenix Hadley didn't seem to budge at the sound of death. Hadley then looked to the ground shaking her head. She walked towards him her tan legs crossing over one another.

Hadley Harper; Mr. Phoenix I can't tell you how many times I've heard that, truly, but I can tell you how many times it has been successful. Zero. Do you wanna know why though? Of course you do, it's because me and my family, we're smarter than your average gangsters. We don't just run around with threats that we hope will intimidate. We don't just wave our guns around hoping to scare off the weak links. We use our brains to get what we want and you sir don't have much of that. Neither did Tapanga though and look where that got her. Dead. And if I'm not mistaken...I'm still standing, just like I always am, just like I always will be. I'm invincible Mr. Phoenix and there isn't any possible way you can argue with that.

A smile spread across Hadley's face as she stared closely into Johnny's eyes. Hadley didn't blink and neither did Johnny. Hadley pressed her tongue to her top lip giggling a little to herself. She then put the cigarette in her mouth taking a drag. She let the smoke out right in Johnny's face. He got a little more angry at the disrespect.

Johnny Phoenix; You've got some nerve you rotten cunt!

He stepped back yelling at a laughing Hadley.

Hadley Harper; You've got nerve coming here, you get the hell out of my house!

Johnny stood still with a stern look on his face.

Johnny Phoenix; No, not until you admit what you did to Tapanga.

Hadley shrugged her shoulders getting close to Johnny once again.

Hadley Harper; I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about.

Hadley brought her cigarette up to her mouth, this time though instead of putting it to her lips she put it out straight on Johnny's forehead. She held his head with her hand so he could get away. He screamed loudly until finally she let go leaving a burnt circle on his head. He stumbled back and Hadley flicked the butt at him. Johnny then seemed to be searching for something reaching into his pocket. Hadley swiftly pulled out the handgun from her pocket and pulled the trigger. Johnny fell back into a chair motionless. A gun hit the floor below him as it dropped from his hand. Hadley rose her eyebrow looking towards Johnny as a stream of blood began to flow. She smiled to herself noticing that her aim was on today. The small bullet had hit straight in her target, the burned area on his forehead. She took a couple of steps backwards kicking the front door shut with her foot.

Later that day...
There was a knock at Hadley's door. It didn't take her long to dispose of Johnny's body. She turned her attention towards the door. She then got to her feet straightening up her black dress. She reached for her pack of cigarettes on the table and pulled on out. She lit it up with a match and then blew it out setting the old match back down on the table. She took a drag of the cigarette before walking towards the door. The person was pounding on the door now and finally Hadley opened it up staring into the eyes of the Police man from the day before and his partner a slimy looking bald man. Hadley blew the smoke out. She twisted the cigarette in her hands letting the texture run over her fingers.

Hadley Harper; Hello boys, is there something I can help you with?

She grinned at the two detectives who didn't seem to want to play along.

Police Officer One; Miss Harper..I'm afraid you're going to have to come with us downtown.

Hadley's eyes widened. She then relaxed herself nodding her head.

Hadley Harper; Fine detective.

Hadley walked along with the detectives somewhat reluctantly. She shut the door behind her as they started towards the police station. Once they got their they led Hadley into a claustrophobic room. It was bland and it smelled of sweat and coffee. Hadley held a cigarette in her hands as she leaned back in her chair with no worry showing on her face. The door to the small room opened up and the two detectives stepped inside. They shut the door behind them and walked over to the chairs that sat across from Hadley. She took a drag off of her cigarette and blew the smoke straight up in the air. She then looked down at the two men that sat across from her.

Hadley Harper; So what's this about then?

The detectives sent looks to each other. The bald one cleared his throat turning his attention back to Hadley.

Police Officer Two; Do you know the name Johnny Phoenix?

Hadley pretended to think for a little bit. She then looked to the detective.

Hadley Harper; I think I've heard it before.

Hadley grinned.

Police Officer One; He is known to be linked to Tapanga Britt, you know that girl who died the other day. Anyways we found him dead, a bullet straight to the head.

Hadley got a fake surprised look on her face.

Hadley Harper; You don't say. How tragic.

Hadley's words were sarcastic. The officers looked back to each other and then towards Hadley.

Police Officer One; Listen Hadley, we know you did it. We've got evidence.

Hadley Harper; Something tells me you're lying.

Hadley shrugged her shoulders as she took another drag of her cigarette.

Police Officer Two; Miss Harper. Where were you on the night of April 28? Honestly.

Hadley took in another drag from her cigarette.

Hadley Harper; I was with my friend, Mr. O'Connor.

Police Officer One; Doing what?

Hadley tapped her cigarette to the ashtray and let out a sigh.

Hadley Harper; We were out to dinner, we had just gotten done at the opera and we were hungry.

The officers exchanged looks again.

Police Officer Two; Then what did you do?

Hadley Harper; I walked back to my place.

Hadley shrugged her shoulders.

Police Officer One; Without Mr. O'Connor.

Hadley simply nodded her head.

Hadley Harper; Alright listen, here's the truth that little bitch Tapanga Britt she jumped me. That little cunt she's got jealousy all over her. She knew the only way to be the best was to kill her way to the top and I was standing in her way. So she jumped me and she tried as hard as she could to take me down. She made a mistake though, she didn't think it out. She didn't think about the fact that she was messing with Godmother. Hell she wanted so badly to be the Godmother she must not have had much more on her mind. It's funny you know because so many people want to be where I am in life and none of them can accomplish it. So each one of them try to get there in different ways. Apparently Tapanga thought that she could get her credit on the streets by killing me. She wanted people to know her name, she wanted people to see that she was big and bad. The only problem is that would be lying. She was lying to herself in the first place though by pretending she could actually pull something like that off, like she could actually take me out. She so obviously hadn't paid attention to the papers, she so obviously hadn't paid attention to the word on the street because if I had a fucking dime for each broad that tried to take my place and failed I would be an incredibly rich woman. She wasn't smart, she wasn't woman enough to take my spot. No one is and that's where her biggest mistake was, the fact that she thought she was.

Hadley took a drag of her cigarette, by now she had leaned in closer to the detectives and they had done the same.

Police Officer Two; So what are you getting at? She jumped you and then what?

Hadley blew out the smoke and shrugged her shoulders.

Hadley Harper; I did what any smart woman would do, I fought back. The unfortunate thing for her was that I knew what I was doing, and she didn't. Miss Britt wanted the world to be on her shoulders, but she so obviously couldn't handle the burden. She so obviously couldn't handle everything I've had to handle, cause I don't go down as fast as she did. That silly pathetic little girl, she came at me all her hopes and dreams raging inside of her only to be cut short quicker than she could possibly imagine. I don't regret it though, I don't think she deserved to live. No pathetic trashy women like her do, all those skanks need to rot in hell with the rest of the idiots of the world. My world is not a place for the weak she doesn't belong in it.

Hadley's words were almost convincing.

Police Officer One; Wait wait..so did you..

Hadley Harper; Kill her? Yes, yes I did but I did not do it because I wanted to. She didn't pose a threat to me. She didn't even come close to touching my standards of living, I barely even knew her name until that night. I succeeded detectives and she fell short, but she was used to that. She was used to falling short and she was used to standing in the shadow of a woman such as myself. She was doing the only thing she knew how to do to get rid of me and that was kill me, too bad she couldn't even do that right. I wouldn't expect anything from her though she was an amateur a little wanna-be that couldn't make it as a real gangster.

Hadley shrugged her shoulders.

Police Officer Two; What about Mr. Phoenix?

Hadley Harper; Those two were perfect for each other. Each one was trying to hard to make a name for themselves, it's a shame they fell short. Like I said though I didn't want to kill the girl, it was fully in self defense. Really there isn't anyway you can pin his death on me detectives. I have no reason to give him the boot, he must have just been doing the same thing as she had. He was probably running his pathetic mouth hoping it could get him somewhere. Poor souls, they'll never see the high life..then again even if they were alive they wouldn't get there.

Hadley chuckled to herself getting more comfortable in her skin. She then put out her cigarette in the ashtray. She pushed herself out from the table getting to her feet.

Hadley Harper; Now if you don't mind boys I'll just find my way out...

All of the sudden Hadley stumbled and was awaken as she jumped up in her bed quickly sitting up. She looked around for a second and noticed that she was once again in her real home without a cigarette in her hand. She grinned.

Hadley Harper; That sounds about right.

Hadley then laid back down in her bed closing her eyes.
