For Hadley Harper wrestling wasn't just about winning. Sure it seemed that way most of the time but the truth of the matter was that she had a deep passion for the sport and getting out in the ring every week was a thrill that she had never felt before. She had never in her life loved something more than wrestling and she though perhaps there wouldn't be anything in her life that she would love more. However it was a concept that shouldn't be too confused, because although Hadley wasn't always about winning, she was never truly about losing. Hadley had an idea in mind of how her career was supposed to pan out. So far it had been going, for the most part, according to plan. She had made herself a successful and respect wrestler in OCW and now she was doing the same in GWE. Hadley was not just having her first match in GWE though, it was her first opportunity to become a champion in GWE. Her first opportunity to show that her career in OCW was legit. She would not just do that though, she would do it with ease. That's after all, how Hadley Harper did things. She made them look easy look fresh. Many girls would just sit around and run their mouths not really thinking about the match but rather thinking about their opponents. Hadley would talk her fair share of trash, she wouldn't deny that but when it came down to it Hadley was never focused simply on her opponent but on the match as a whole. She thought about where it could take her career where it would leave her opponent what it would bring the next week. She never stopped thinking about it until she was having her hand raised in the air. This match was a different match though it was not just a debut match it was a women's title match. A match that included at least one other credible superstar besides Hadley. Hadley wasn't going to underestimate her competition but she wasn't planning on considering any of them to win, not just because they weren't as good though, because Hadley wanted to win another championship. Now that OCW had closed it's doors, Hadley was left with no women's championship and only the honor of being the last OCW women's champion. She was going to turn things around though and win the GWE women's championship and set a new record, hopefully one that wouldn't be broken. GWE's longest reigning women's champion.
Hadley looked into the camera as the photographer snapped another picture of her. She moved her head a little more to the left putting her chin further in the air as the photographer snapped another shot. He lowered the camera nodding to Hadley.
Photographer; Alright thank you doll. We'll talk a ten minute break, yes?
His accent was russian and it was a heavy one at that. Hadley took a second to process what he had said and slur it back into English that she understood.
Hadley Harper; Alright sounds great.
Hadley nodded her head as the photographer was approached by two people to talk about the photos so far. Hadley looked on as a group of two guys and one girl walked up to her. She was wearing an outfit that was on the smaller side, which was unusual for her, but she didn't mind. One of the men handed her a robe and helped her to put it on. The women touched up her make-up and the other man fixed up her hair. That was something Hadley loved about this business people would just fix you up, most of the time you didn't have to do anything. The door into the studio opened up and a blonde woman stood in the door way attracting looks as she walked in. It was Heather Mackenzie. Hadley pushed through the three people fixing her up and walked straight towards Heather who hadn't yet noticed her. Heather finally locked eyes with Hadley and headed in the right direction.
Hadley Harper; You do realize you're like a hour early?
Heather shrugged her shoulders.
Heather Mackenzie; I've got nothing better to do Nick is out of town and I was left in the house all alone, what am I a fucking housewife?
Heather shook her head in disgust as she met in the middle with Hadley.
Hadley Harper; You're not even a wife in the first place.
Heather's disgusted face turned into a blank and sarcastic stare towards Hadley. Hadley giggled a little to herself and shrugged.
Hadley Harper; It's true don't act like it isn't.
Heather Mackenzie; Whatever. Are you seriously going to take another hour. I feel like I've been waiting for years now. Can you hurry this process up?
Hadley shook her head.
Hadley Harper; No, you know how this stuff goes. It's your fault for being early. We're taking ten right now though and there is coffee over there.
Hadley motioned towards a table that had been filled with refreshments. Heather looked over and then back to Hadley shrugging. She then turned to walk towards it and Hadley followed behind.
Heather Mackenzie; What's this shoot for again?
Hadley Harper; My coming to GWE shoot.
Hadley smiled with confidence as they reached the table.
Heather Mackenzie; Well aren't you special.
Heather was always sarcastic, Hadley rolled her eyes.
Hadley Harper; Yes I am. Hell girl you're looking at the next GWE women's champion right here. I've got my match on Gridlock in the bag.
Hadley crossed her arms one over the other as Heather turned back over her shoulder. Heather laughed a little and returned to getting coffee.
Heather Mackenzie; Well I'm sure you'll make a better showing than Aqua Less. She's a doozy, ran at the first site of real competition.
Hadley laughed.
Hadley Harper; It's so true, the funny thing is so did my opponents. The only one that has even spoken on the match is Eve IwishiwasaGuerrero. We all know how Hadley Harper vs Eve in singles is gonna turn out. Well everyone except her apparently, because she still thinks she has a chance.
Heather Mackenzie; Honey her thinking she had a chance in the first place was the sad part.
Hadley laughed again as Heather finished fixing her coffee. Heather handed a coffee to Hadley and she took it taking a quick sip.
Hadley Harper; You have to give the girl credit for having heart. The only problem is the fact that has no real talent. Which is an important part in the whole winning aspect, I suppose that's just my perspectives though. Then again I suppose that World Wrestling Entertainment has never really cared about talent, maybe GWE won't either.
Hadley shrugged as Heather giggled a little bit at the rip on WWE.
Hadley Harper; Then again she's a idiot, apparently I bitched and moaned about being the best. When I haven't even spoken on the match yet, not to mention the fact that people don't bitch about being the best unless they don't wanna be and I certainly wanna be the best. She wants proof though and I will give it to her easy. She made a mistake by opening her ugly generic mouth and talking trash, trash that she knows nothing about.
Heather Mackenzie; I saw her little thing, I wouldn't call what she did trash talking.
Hadley Harper; It's more like a desperate plea to be spared a little bit by me. Or a go at trying to make herself seem like a badass, too bad she didn't accomplish that one.
Hadley laughed to herself as she shook her head.
Heather Mackenzie; She doesn't accomplish anything.
Heather laughed.
Hadley Harper; That's true actually, gotta wonder how a girl gets so much momentum under her when she has nothing on her resume besides lies about who she is. Poor girl.
Hadley shook her head with pity.
Heather Mackenzie; Yeah whatever, you don't give a shit.
Hadley Harper; It's true.
She shrugged and laughed as Heather joined in.
Photographer; Miss Harper are you ready?
Hadley looked over to the photographer. She looked to Heather and then set her coffee down. She began to walk towards the photographer.
Hadley Harper; This shouldn't be all that long, sit tight.
Heather nodded sarcastically of course as Hadley made her way back to the shoot area.
