•?/FONT>SOMETIMES THE VILLAIN PREVAILS
In Hadley Harper's mind there was no one else that mattered besides herself. It was in fact a blatant fact in her mind that everyone else should be able to see as well. It wasn't just about being arrogant with her though, it was more about knowing your limits and knowing when your limits exceeded everyone else's limits. Many people would say that Hadley's career was carved out of pure luck, but when you saw her in the ring you would think differently. Luck wasn't in Hadley's vocabulary she never needed it, she made her own luck she didn't need to rely on it like many other wrestlers in the business today. It saddened Hadley in fact to have to watch people that were less than her winning things and getting pushes. What didn't sadden her were the opportunities that she was getting when she joined ISE. An opportunity to hold yet another championship and feel what it was like to be a golden queen once again. It came easy to Hadley to be a champion, in fact it was probably one of the things she did best. She had been the perfect champion in OCW never passing up the opportunity to prove that she had worked hard to get the belt and she would work hard to keep it. Those things hadn't changed. She wouldn't say that any of the other girls with less experience couldn't hold a title because that might not be true, the fact of the matter was that even if they could hold a title and be a good champion, they would never be able to be the champion that Hadley was capable of being. They would never compare to the likes of THEE Hadley Harper. She was a prestigious champion that had graced only a few federations and each one she made a bigger impact than the next. Her only fear was losing the job after a week because of back management skills. She wanted a stable place and she was going to be a stable champion to suit it. The problem with the other women in the match was that they just wouldn't know how to be a stable champion they wouldn't be able to pull through like Hadley knew how to do. They would just be disgraces to wrestling really but not Hadley, no she knew exactly what she was doing and she knew where she stood, the rest of the girls needed to fall into line and know their role. That role was peasants to a queen and rats to a cat. Hadley would eat them alive simply because she was that much better.
Hadley stood on top of the tall building overlooking the rest of the city. She could see the sign off in the distance that rang out some sort of bells for the ever so loving Monkey Girl. A girl that no one knew anything about, hell half of them didn't even care about her. All they cared about was that she supposedly kept their city clean and rid it of evils. That didn't mean a damn thing to Hadley though. This Monkey girl had nothing on her. She would be here soon though and Hadley could already taste the victory lingering on her lips. She took a dab of it licking her lips to let the taste sink in a little bit. Then with a grin on her face she turned away from her perch on top of the building and she began to run jumping off the building and landing on the one next to it. It was a jewelry store that held one of the most precious gems the world had ever seen, the Vixen diamond. Hadley needed to entrance or escape plan. She knew exactly where it was, on the top floor of the second tallest building in New York City. She walked along the surface of the building and stopped straight in the center. She grinned before jumping into the air and flying down into the building smashing through the concrete to get inside. Alarms sounded and guards came running but in the two seconds it took them to get there Hadley had grabbed the diamond and left. She jumped from building to building with the diamond in tow until she was stopped suddenly by this monkey girl. Hadley stopped herself in her tracks and grinned looking the girl up and down.
"Stop right there!" The girl held her hand out telling Hadley to stop. She then extended her other hand out opening it up. "Hand over the diamond and you won't get hurt." Hadley laughed loudly looking at this pathetic excuse for a hero.
"Don't flatter yourself sweetheart, you couldn't hurt a fly. Look at you, all you have is a lot of skin and bones and that doesn't get anyone anywhere in a real fight. Then again I doubt you would even know what that is would you?" Hadley stepped a little more forward getting closer to the girl's hands as she did. "You couldn't possibly know what a real fight is because you've never had one, not one like me at least. You've never experience what it is I have to offer. I offer speed, agility and much much more. You see what you have is a load of crap. A lot of push behind you because you're considered a hero. But trust me darling being a hero has much less glory than being a villain. It's got nothing but a whole lot of work only to be used for other people's selfish needs. You see though, being the Villain is fun, you can do whatever you want when you want it and the best part is...NO ONE can stop me." She laughed again but this time in the face of the Monkey Girl who now had a sour look on her face. The girl finally let her arms down to her sides. She looked directly at Hadley.
"Give me the diamond!" Her tone was much more demanding but Hadley simple shook her head. She then began to stroll back towards the edge of the building.
"No, no I think I'll keep it. After all I earned it. Not to mention it's going to look the best on me." Hadley took it out of it's hiding place and examined it. She then looked back to the girl. "Oh I'm sorry you must not know anything about me, what you should know is that I don't care what you want. It's about what I want and my dear right now what I want is to keep this diamond and for you to disappear. You're not going to get this." Hadley giggled to herself as she stuffed the diamond back in her coat. She then sprang off the building jumping to the next. Much to her surprise the Monkey Girl sprang right in front of her. Hadley nodded her head. "Oh impressive, how about you outlast this!" Without a millisecond of breath Hadley lifted the monkey girl up into the air and slammed her down through the building. She looked down the few flights that she had thrown her and shook her head in pity. "You should've been quicker!" Hadley laughed as she continued to jump buildings.
"You can't get rid of my that fast!" The Monkey girl came from behind grabbing Hadley and throwing her into the side of a building. Hadley fell a few feet before she caught onto a window ledge. She stepped onto it and jump to the top of the building where the monkey girl stood a few scars engraved on her face.
"That's cute kid, but I'm not here to play dress up, I'm here to get things done. So why don't you actually do something that's going to mean something. That is if you can." Hadley chuckled slightly. Before she could say another word the Monkey girl jumped at her and Monkey flipped her to the other side of the building. Hadley got up quickly and the pair locked up each trying to get more strength than the other. Finally Hadley got the upper-hand and hit the girl with a huge punch sending her up into the air. As she came down Hadley pressed her hand onto the girl's back sending her once again through the building they were on. Hadley turned to walk away but as she did the girl jumped up once again from the building this time even more tattered. Hadley turned back and shook her head. "Oh right, I almost forgot, the hero always pretends they never give up." Hadley laughed looking at the girl who now had a almost vacant expression. "Let me give you a little hint darling, sometimes the villain WILL prevail." With that Hadley zoomed towards the girl hitting her back through the building next to them and into the one on the other side. She then fell down to the street landing on a taxi cab. The siren began to go off and Hadley grinned. She then took out the diamond from her pocket and examined it once again throwing it into the air and catching it. "Yep, I deserve this" Hadley grinned and continued on her way.
"Deserve what? Hadley we're here!" The familiar voice of Hadley's boyfriend chimed in and Hadley finally opened up her eyes. The plane had landed in Las Vegas. She looked around for a second rubbing her eyes.
"Oh wow. I was having another dream. That was quick." Ross laughed as he helped her up out of her seat. They grabbed their things and began to exit the plane. "Good thing all my dreams come true." Hadley grinned as she looked to Ross.
