Kit Black had been given an offer by Gypsy to get a contendership spot for Gypsy's franchise championship, Kit would be crazy to pass up the opportunity. It was something that Kit felt she could do with ease. She knew that Gypsy considered herself to be a great talent and Kit wasn't going to deny that, but she would certainly argue Gypsy's ability to measure up to everything that she claims to be. That was a common mistake in most professional wrestlers. Most of them knew exactly how to talk themselves up, and even more had trouble keeping the promises of greatness. That was why Kit was never the type to openly brag about herself. Sure she did it occasionally but that was something that was taught to people in their training. You have to have some sort of confidence in yourself in order to get into the match but Kit wouldn't go as far as to say she is the best thing since sliced bread, for two reasons really. One, it was generic, every single wrestler thinks they're the best thing ever and it appeared to Kit that Gypsy was the exact same way. Two because Kit was a laid back type of person, she didn't like losing but she realized that it wasn't the end of the world if she did happen to lose. That of course should never be mistaken for a lack of confidence. People like Kit, that don't exactly flaunt their arrogance every second of the day shouldn't b taken for people with low self-confidence because that wasn't the case. It was just being able to be more humble and Kit was good at that. Sure winning matches, especially at the caliber of her upcoming match is an ego boost but it almost felt better to just know personally that you did well instead of ruining it by bragging to the entire world. Kit was ready for this match, more than Gypsy would probably expect. It was however confusing to Kit, the promo that Gypsy had cut. Most of it made no sense, especially a part about Kit winning but then calling her own win a fluke? Why would someone do something like that? It wasn't like she completely lacked confidence. All that Gypsy had over Kit was experience in BUD. Nothing more than that. So she would sit back and laugh as she watched a ridiculous promo play on the internet and she would draw conclusions and come up with certain rebuttals. Then she would make Gypsy and everyone else see there wasn't much difference between the two.
Kit closed her eyes for a second as she lounged back letting her head hit the wall. She hated sitting in waiting rooms, it was actually one of the most annoying things she ever experienced. She opened her eyes back up just as quickly upon hearing the door swing open. She looked over as a short red head walked out with a smile on her face.
Red-headed woman; Kit she's ready to talk with you now.
Kit pushed herself up out of the seat reaching down to grab her purse. She put her purse over her shoulder and walked into the back area following the red-head back towards the office of Jenny Green an interviewer for Professional Wrestling Now.com. The red-head stopped at the office. The door was open and Jenny sat typing at the computer. The red-head knocked on the door causing her to look up. A smile spread on her face causing Kit to smile back ass she stepped inside.
Jenny Green; Kit welcome. Have a seat.
Kit followed her orders and sat down in the chair that sat in front of Jenny's desk. She set her purse down next to the chair and looked up to Jenny setting her hands in her lap.
Jenny Green; Alright so obviously we just wanted to talk to some newer talent breaking out into the wrestling world for our new faces issue. So we'll start out with the obvious. In a recent blog you posted, you stated you'd be facing Gypsy the current BUD franchise champion. How do you feel being a "rookie" going up against someone like Gypsy?
Kit Black; Well I mean, I think I've made my stance on her obvious. I don't know a lot about her but I do know that this is an opportunity I don't want to give up. She isn't an idiot like a lot of the wrestlers in this business. She knows what she wants and that's something we have in common. Me being a rookie shouldn't mean anything to anyone, it's never really about how much experience you have it's about how you use your talent. Hard work is talent, experience isn't talent. People seem to get that mixed up, they don't realize that I can be just as talented as she is no matter what the experience difference is. Personally though being called a rookie doesn't bother me, I don't see why it should either some people get offended by it though, I find it funny.
Kit smiled showing that she was done finishing the question. All she could hear was the sound of Jenny's fingers hitting the buttons quickly so as to catch the whole answer. She stopped and looked back over to Kit.
Jenny Green; Now in a recent promo by Gypsy she stated that you weren't so much focused on the match. How do you feel about that?
Kit giggled a little bit to herself and shrugged.
Kit Black; Well I mean I can see why she would say that. I'm not exactly the type of person that just talks about one person especially when I barely know her. I don't want to just talk out of my ass about someone I don't know that would be pointless. The things that I wrote in my blog had to do with this match, she just didn't tie them together correctly. What I've been trying to figure out is how winning this match can truly benefit me. I might not come right out and say Gypsy is this and Gypsy is that. I don't see the point in that it's just pointing out obvious things. What I do is I take a step back and look for opportunities and where they can take me. It isn't always about sitting around and bashing your opponent you have to think logically. That's confusing to some people I think, but really I don't feel like I'm losing focus. I know what I have to do in order to win and I know how I can win. The funny thing though, I might add, was that she seemed very focused on who I am spending my time with rather than our match but that really doesn't matter too much.
Kit smiled satisfied with her answer.
Jenny Green; What made you chose to sign with BUD?
Kit Black; I don't really know. I mean I watched it when I first started watching wrestling along with WWE, but it was just always a fantasy of mine to be apart of one of those companies. I suppose most of all though I was drawn to the competitive nature of most of the superstars. I am the same way. I love the feeling of competing and I like more so competing with people that are on my level and I feel like people in BUD truly are on my level.
Kit grinned
Jenny Green; Back to the match at hand. You say you don't know much about Gypsy but tell me, what makes you so confident that you'll do well in this match then?
Kit Black; I think it has a lot to do with just the confidence that I've always had but also it has a lot to do with the similarities that I see between Gypsy and myself. I mean people claim we're different. Gypsy will claim she is better and above me. We're both smart people, we both know how to move in the ring and make things look towards our favor. I don't think we're exactly a like but we certainly aren't all that different. I don't know, it seems to me like if I put a lot into this I can manage a win over her, not to mention it doesn't seem like she's all that into this match like I am. I understand why too, I mean her beating me wouldn't mean anything, me beating her will mean a lot.
Jenny nodded her head as she typed away.
Jenny Green; What about getting a contendership opportunity?
Kit shrugged her shoulders.
Kit Black; I would be stupid to turn down that chance, but it doesn't seem like it will be happening this Thursday. I am excited to get the chance, but I don't know if she can be the one to grant it to me. We'll see though. If I win this match I'm sure there will be more of a chance.
Kit grinned thinking about it as Jenny typed.
Jenny Green; Alright I think that right now that's all we need from you. This will be up soon and we thank you for your time.
Kit nodded her head and got to her feet grabbing her purse. Jenny stood and shook her hand as the scene fades.
