Kit Black had done exactly what she said she was going to do and he beat Gypsy once again to retain her Franchise Championship. It was more of a personal record for her but it was obvious to the fans of BUD that Kit was happy. The match was a great one, yet again. In fact every time the two stepped into the ring it was a guaranteed great match and they certainly didn't let anyone down. This week however put Kit in front of another challenge, a man by the name of "Menacide". He had been apart of two matches at the pay per view and although he didn't win the heavyweight championship he still put on a showing that was better than some of his opponents. Kit wasn't worried in the least, it wasn't exactly her forte to compete against males but she knew that she was perfectly capable of overcoming the obstacle that stood in her way. To Kit Menacide was nothing more than an opponent. She hadn't been in BUD long enough to really know who Menacide was, sure she had followed BUD TV before signing a contract but she didn't know many of the names that Menacide had put out to make people think, and really it didn't matter much to her who he was because whoever it was under that mask, they were going to get beat by the Perilous Attraction and she would once again show why she is the champion. She was sure that there were still doubts lingering in the minds of many people but that didn't matter to her anymore. She was done playing the game of proof. This was a fresh start for Kit and she was more than excited. She was once again getting near main event status and despite the words of Menacide she was showing the Franchise Championship to be something more than just a mid-card title.

"I really don't like you." Kit crossed her arms one over the other rolling her eyes at Zach who simply chuckled to himself. "Seriously Zach, I hate you a lot right now!" Kit tapped her foot on the wooden floor of Zach's apartment. He stepped forward placing his hands on Kit's arms and pulling her in for a hug, she didn't budge.

"Quit being stubborn." Zach stepped back looking at Kit who narrowed her eyes. "It really isn't that big of a deal anyways, I have other things to do, I'm trying to work my way into FWAR. I need to focus." Zach shrugged his shoulders the smile leaving his lips.

"I know, but you promised me and I promised my mother you'd be with me for the Christmas, she wants to meet you." Kit let out a sigh. "I know that your career means everything to you, and I know that it's big for you to maintain a winning streak. But this once I asked you to put me in front of it." Kit shook her head laughing sarcastically. Kit looked at Zach for an answer and he simply shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah..I figured." Kit let out another sigh. She shrugged her shoulders quickly slapping the side of her thighs as she brought her hands down. She starting walking towards the door.

"Kit, you would do the same if you were me." Kit turned around at the comment laughing to herself.

"Maybe you're right, because my career doesn't let me down." Kit opened the door to the apartment grabbing her coat and purse before exiting and slamming the door.

"Ever since my first match in BUD I've been climbing the ladder." The scene opened as Kit sat behind the steering wheel. She had set up a video camera and she kept her focus on the road. "A ladder that I knew I was capable of climbing, one that no matter how hard people tried to get my spirits down I kept on climbing. I do believe that I've shown myself to be anything but easily stopped and I pride myself on that. Recently Menacide cut a promo for our match claiming that I didn't earn what is mine and I can't help but laugh at the comment. What Scott Addams did to me in that match between us was a cheap shot and nothing more, he didn't want to get pinned so he did what HE had to in order to make sure that didn't happen as for the first Franchise title match I showed myself to be a great competitor for that title and if you, Menacide, think that I needed help then you are obviously sadly mistaken. What I've done so far in my career was not handed to me, it was not luck it was my will to succeed and to be everything that I can. I don't take the easy way out, if I did I wouldn't have even tried to get myself in between a feud that was happening with Scott Addams and Gypsy. If I wanted easy I would've given up a long time ago but look at me now. I'm giving a new name to a "mid-card" title. I'm making a name for myself in BUD and I am doing it well." Kit glanced at the camera. The thought of her fight still in the back of her mind.

Kit glanced at the camera. The thought of her fight still in the back of her mind. "You see though, back when all this started over the Franchise championship I was more focused on one thing, proving myself. I suppose it's what a rookie is supposed to do in their first year professional and maybe it got the best of me, but now I have nothing left to prove. All that stands in front of me is you and there are no thoughts of proof lingering around blurring my vision like there has in the past. From now on it's about making a name for myself and building up the name of the Franchise Championship just as I said I would do once I retained it." Kit grinned for a second.

"Menacide, I don't know who you are. Hell a lot of people don't but what you're wrong about is me wondering who it is under that mask. It doesn't matter to me, you could be a BUD legend and I still wouldn't care, cause no matter who you are you're still going to be seeing black." Kit shrugged her shoulders a laugh on her lips. "As for your comments on the credibility of my championship, you can say what you want it really doesn't matter to me. I am no longer in this to impress people I'm in this to do something for this company and as far as I've see Gypsy and I have been doing a pretty damn good job of making this title more than it's worth. I can see that jealousy could make someone bad mouth something though, you want a title I get it, and I have one. You want the BUDvision title, which is being etched out in credibility because of it's holder while the Franchise Championship is getting a name so you wanna try and fix that. You want that title because you know if you went for mine you wouldn't be able to take it, but with the BUDvision it would be like a cake walk. It all makes sense but what doesn't is how you got all that damn confidence. I realize you possibly have had a long career filled with title reigns, then again maybe you haven't won a title at all, another reason for jealousy? Well Menacide know this, I do care about my title and even though you might think I'm the only one I would beg to differ because for the past few months my title has stolen the show. The mistake you're making is underestimating me, when you don't even know me." Kit chuckled to herself. "But you know what, I'm used to that. I just didn't expect it from someone who claims to be so damn good. You would think someone that was "so good" would recognize when talent stands in front of them. Menacide you continue to talk because to me that's all it is and I'll talk in a way I know better, in that ring." Kit shook her head still laughing to herself as she leaned forward turning the camera off.

"Kit! Can I have a word?"  The voice of Phoebe echoed on the other end of the locker room door following a knock. Kit looked away from her laptop for a second a grin still on her lips. She looked at the door.

"Come in!" Kit turned around getting to her feet as she met up with Phoebe who was followed by a cameraman.

"Kit, I'm sure that you 've heard the words of Menacide earlier today. I was just wondering your thoughts." Phoebe held the microphone to Kit's mouth and Kit took a second laughing to herself as she placed her hands on her hips.

"My thoughts? Well my thoughts are just what I thought earlier, he doesn't know me. The perfect give away is the fact that he thinks I'm not focused when clearly I preach that often, being focused. Then there was the cute little attempt to call me a whore when in fact my boyfriend and I live a lifestyle where drinking, drugs, and promiscuous sex are things we fight against. Go ahead and keep on saying things that aren't true I'm sure it'll get you somewhere someday. Then he claims that I don't know him that I couldn't possibly figure out what to say about him? Well as I stated earlier I couldn't care less who it is under that mask, I don't need to do homework on an opponent to be good in a match because when it comes down to it what matters is what you can do in the ring not what your opponent can do. All I need to know is what I'm capable of and I am perfectly aware of that. You can state the same stuff in multiple promos like you have been and it still doesn't make a difference to me. You can keep telling yourself and all the people out there that you're the reason that we're the pre-main event over and over again to try and convince a few people but Menacide I've been there before, I've been there many times and my career hasn't been all that long. So what makes you think that you're so amazing? Cause you threw Drew Stevenson over that top rope? Well news flash dear, you still didn't win. All you did at Krystmas Kaos was beat Matlock and how many people have done that?" Kit shrugged her shoulders. "What did I do? I put on a great match that I won. I would love to see you go one on one with Drew Stevenson and win that one. When you do that you can brag. If you beat me tonight you can brag but until then don't make false statements and stop lying to yourself. Stop acting like you can read my mind because if you really could there would be different words coming out of your mouth." Kit took a second. "Oh and believe me, I'm not just saying I don't care to play mind games with you. I really don't. I go out and I wrestle every time that I can and I don't need to know my opponent before hand. You're whole thing is playing mind games but trust me i'm not stupid enough to fall for it. I'm pretty sure I could guess who you are and be right, but I won't ruin things for you. I'll let you keep on thinking that you're mind games are working on everyone so you don't cry. I'll save that for tonight when I get into the ring and ruin that little dream of you beating me." Kit grinned and there was a silence in the room.

"You sound extremely confident..." Phoebe looked at Kit almost surprised and Kit nodded her head.

"I am Phoebe, I'm confident because I have a reason to be, because I win my matches. I'm sick of playing the nice girl because people walk all over you when that happens and I refuse to let some idiot in a costume try and play around with my mind. I can almost bet though that he will say he's gotten into it, but that's because people like him are a dime a dozen they come and go and say the same old bullshit but you know what I said it already and i'll say it again I'll let him have his fun but no matter who he is...or thinks he is at the end of this match no matter what he'll still be seeing black." With that Kit pushed Phoebe aside and made her way out of the locker room.
