Griffith got took out bad along Ridge Road...the power was out in a lot of areas.  Trees are down, water is high, and clean-up is going on.  We were very lucky it was a F2 tornado.

I saw the pictures. Looked like a war zone. Glad to hear everyone is working together and no serious injuries.

I drove down Ridge Road to Highland last night.  It's a huge mess.  The neighborhood behind KMart to the Mansards is a mess.  Chain saws were the only sound you could hear.  Highland had alot of tree damage.

Yes it is spooky and the damage is incredible....the sirens went off all night.  We were in the basement a lot that night.  We need calm weather for a while....

We were at the Cubs game when all hell broke loose!  What a nightmare - all 41,000+ fans trying to get downstairs and there was no more room
It was a mess and then we had to try and get home with all the flooded streets.  We made it home around 2:30am!

They showed that on the news with all of the ppl running and the drain storms not being able to handle all of the water.  What a mess, good ride home wet and cold.  At least you were safe!  Bill drove down Ridge Road this morning on his way home from work and the trees are being removed slowly, the stop lights are still not functioning, the houses are just ripped apart.  It will take a while to get things back together.  Griffith has been hit hard a few times in the last couple of years.  Jedi's sign is gone and the roof is off the strip mall at Ride and Cline. WOW!
