I found this recipe in the paper and made it for my coworkers. They loved it and said it was the best they have ever had. If you need a quick dessert and a lot of it....this is it!

Five Pounds of Fudge!

  • 4 ½ cups of sugar
  • 12 - ounce can evaporated milk
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • pinch of salt
  • 18 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 7 - ounce jar marshmallow crème
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 4 cups chopped pecans

Mix sugar, milk, butter and salt in a heavy saucepan. Stir well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook 8 minutes on low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips, marshmallow crème and vanilla. Stir until completely blended. Add pecans or walnuts and stir well. Pour into a Bundt pan that has been sprayed heavily with nonstick cooking spray. Place in refrigerator for several hours or overnight. To remove, fill sink with a few inches of hot water, place pan in water for about 10 or 15 seconds. Turn onto a serving platter. Store in refrigerator. You can let your guests slice their own fudge, like a cake.

The only problem is that one or two of those pounds may get stuck on a thigh, or other places......so beware!
