I had been watching the radar too and thought
the storms were headed more North than East.
Well they were but there was that Southern part
of the line that hit us good. The first time the sirens
went off it was to alert everyone, IT'S HERE!
All day long the wind has been blowing hard, and
around 5:00 or so it stopped, not a leaf was blowing,
that's when the sirens went off the second time and
by this time a tornado had been spotted South of
town, along I-70! Nothing serious though, a lot of
open space, prairie land, and it must not have been
on the ground long. Then the rain started again, I
couldn't see to the middle of the field behind the house,
it was a solid wall of water. Then the sirens went
off again because another tornado had been spotted,
nothing became of it....thank God. It's quiet on the
home front now....not sure if anything's coming this
way or if we're done for the night.
