It never made sense to me to stand in something that is basically a hole in a wall that could fall.

 

I live in the New madrid fault zone and you would not beleive how little preparation people have done.

 

This thing will be a horror once it lets go. Crowleys ridge runs through here and it is a ridge that runs about thirty feet high but tapers slowly so all you really see is a long slope you have to drive up.

 

It was level before the big quake.
