The stone that comes with the AF knife is not very good.

 

Military knives are probably the best value for the money that we give for them.  Of course there are other reasons to have knifes instead of just survival.

 

We need to understand that knifes are required for all sorts of things and your basic old hickory type knifes that can be sharpened with a file are a god sends. A butcher knife with a full blade along with a thin bladed knife and a good paring knife is more important than a Kabar when it comes to actually living in a society that requires you to actually prepare food.
