I bet you end up using the pocket knife more than any thing..

 

I never really got into the elaborate type knifes that are sold for to much money.

 

Old military knifes and bayonets are already the best knifes on the market and you can pick them up pretty cheap.

 

I guess making a knife give you appreciation for the process and impoves your use of whatever you make. 

 

There is something about a paring knife with a wooden handle that can be sharped with a file that seems to be just about right for most things.
