Very cool man! The one definately looks hand made but very nice, the little Gerber appears to have seen a lot of sharpening!  The long katana style blade you have there looks like a wakishashi except the blade isn't curved. I will have to check it out again here soon and study it a little. You said that the other one came from 'Nam? Very cool.
