You know I read all these posts and it seems that you have to have a hundred guns to do anything.

 

I have quite a few guns that I have collected over the years but the best all around gun I have is a single barrel .12  shotgun.

 

You can pick up one for 60 dollars or so used and you can run over it with a car and it still does everything you want it to do.

 

12 ga shells are all over the place.

 

Want to kill rabbits? easily done with the right load.

 

In fact with a good rifle slug you can make fifty yard deer shots whenever you see one. Hell in most midwest and eastern states a fifty yard deer shot is a long way.

 

In fact it was the shotgun that actually won the west because it was pretty universally used by people that went west. My great grandma was given one for a wedding present.

 

A hardy gun that will last you forever and never let you down.

 

Of course it is not sexy.....
