April 1s.-April 5th.

April 1st.~Eph. 4:1~Walk worthy of the vocation

wherewith ye are called.

Today~No matter what the work you do, whether

you like it or have been forced to do it due to

circmstances, do your job the best you can and

your accomplishment. great or small, will fill you

with great pride.

April 2nd.~Psalm 19:7~The testamony of the Lord

is sure, making wise the simple.

Today~To believe in the Lord and to follow His

teachings will bring a wisdom that far surpasses

any learning you may acquire elsewhere. His

word embodies the richest wisdom man can achieve.

April 3rd.~Rom. 8:18~I do not count the suffering

of our present life worthy of mention when

compared with the glory that is to be revealed

and bestowed upon us.

Today~In times of trial and suffering, you must

cling to the faith that this is but a preparation and

that some day. He will come for you and you shall

rejoice, for in heaven, we will not be bothered by

earthly problems again.

April 4th.~1 Thess. 5:5~Ye are children of light

and the children of the day.

Today~The love of Christ for His children is boundless

and in His grace your life can be made meaningful and

rich.

April 5th.~Isa. 1:18~Come now and let us reason

together, saith the Lord.

Today~Do not become involved in an

argument with angry words, but calmly

sit down with your opponent and make

peace. Then in a quiet fashion face the

problem, for in this way useless anger

can be defused and ugly disagreements

resolved.

Luke 20:25~

Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's

and unto God the things that are God's.

Today~Perform your material concerns always with

awareness that ultimately homage to God is paramount.

April 7th.~Job 13:15~Though he slay me, yet will I trust

in Him.

Today~You must keep your faith in the Lord no matter

how cruel life seems and come what may, you must hold

fast to your confidence in God's faithfulness.

April 8th.~Acts 17:24~God that made the world and all

things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth

dwelleth not in temples made with hands.

Today~Although you may worship God in temples and

churches, feel His presence in all places of our world

God exists everywhere from the smallest flower to the

sparkling stars of the universe; He is with us everywhere.

April 9th.~Psalm 1:1~Blessed is the man that walketh not

in the cousel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of

sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Today~Be aware of those who transgress God's commandments

for seeking their counsel and company will corrupt you.

Seek those with goodness in their hearts with whom you can

share God's grace.

April 10th.~Rom. 8:28~All things work together for good

to them that love God.

Today~There are many strands in life and sometimes they

may seem to be going in opposite directions. But for those

with faith, the strands interweave each with the other so that

in the end they form a beautiful pattern of life, honoring God.

April 11th.-April 15th.

April 11th.~Deyt. 15:7~Thou shalt not harden thy heart

nor shut thy hand from thy poor brother.

Today~All men who are of good faith are equal in the eyes

of the Lord and we must follow His example and cherish

people for what they are not what they have.

April 12th.~1 Tim. 3:5~If a man know not how to rule

hos own house, how shall he take care of the church

of God?

Today~Living by the commandments and keeping order

in your own life and house is as important as rending to

your church, for each actions we take impacts on every

other action and disorder in one place breeds disorder

in the other.

April 13th.~Luke 4:1-2~And Jesus, being full of the

Holy Ghost, returned from Jordan and was led by the

Spirit into the wilderness, being forty-five days tempted

of the devil.

Today~Temptation often besets a man with its stronger

power when he is nearest to God.

April 14th.~Psalm 103:8~ The Lord is merciful and gracious

slow to anger and plenteous in mercy.

Today~If we model our behavior after that of the Lord

such behavior is its own reward and we will be beloved

and respected by all.

April 15th.~Deut. 30:14~The word is very nigh unto thee

in thy mouth and in thy heart.

Today~Faith rests on the naked Word of God. When

we take Him at His Word, our heart is at peace.

April 16th.-April 20th.

April 16th.~Matt. 11:28~Come unto me, all ye that

labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.

Today~In the love of Jesus we will find refreshment

for our souls.

April 17th.~Isa.38:5~I have heard thy prayer, I have

seen thy tears; behold I will add unto thy days

fifteen years.

Today~Prayer has the force to change our lives

God is there, hearing our prayers and acting on

them in His mercy.

April 18th.~Prov.30:8~Give me neither poverty nor

riches; feed me with food convenient for me.

Today~Be content with that which meets your

basic needs so that you are not driven to illness

from hunger or lack of shelter, but do not lust for

more than your life requires.

April 19th.~Matt. 22:37-38~Thou shalt love thy

Lord thy God withall thy heart and with all thy

soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and

great commandment.

Jesus

Today~Whoever you are, whatever yo do, in your heart

and mind you must carry the love for the Lord thy God

at all tims and in all places.

April 20th.~1 Sam. 17:37~The Lord that delivered

me out of the paw of the lion anfd out of the paw of the bear. He will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.

Today~When the odds seem overwhelming, trustr

in the Lord and He will come to your rescue.

April 21st._April 25th.

April 21st.~Psalm 23:4~Yea, though I walk through

the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil

for Thou are with me.

Today~Even in the shadow of death, have no fear,

for you are not alone. The Lord is there to give you

strength and courage at a time of trial.

April 22nd.~Phil. 3:8~I even reckon all things as

pure loss because of the priceless privilege of

knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.

Today`Do not reckon the cost of an action when the

results are worthy. We cannot be of great use to others

without cost to ourselves.

April 23rd.~1Kings2:44~Thou knowest all the wickedness

which thine heart is privy to.

Today~Look deeply into yourself and know yourself, both

the bad and the good, for who amongst us does not have some

unworthiness. Though recognizing our own wickedness, we

can control it and cast it from our minds.

April 24th.~John13:24~A new commandment I give unto

you, that ye love one another.

Today~Embrace your fellowman as you would have

him love you.

April 25:Psalm7:16~His mischief shall return upon

his own head.

Today~All our actions have consequences and although

it may not be immediate, sooner or later you will regret

doing something that you know is not right,

for it will return to plague you.

April 26th.-April 30th.

April 26th.~Gal. 2:16~A man is not justified by the

works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ.

Today~There is a law that is higher even than the law

of the land and man must ultimately be judged by that

higher law.

April 27th.~Joel 2:32~And it shall come to pass that

whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall

be delivered.

Today~It is vain to look for deliverance anywgere else;

but with God you will find it, for here you have His royal

will to make it sure.

April 28th.~Joshua 6:18~Keep yourselves from the accused thing,

lest ye make yourselves accursed.

Today~Be wary of the company you keep, for if you consort with

evil, that evil will in the end, corrupt your own behavior.

April 29th.~Gal. 5:14~All the law is fulfilled in one word, even

in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Today~No person is more valuable than any other, nor more

invulnerable to hurts and slights. Govern your actions by how you

would feel if such a deed were done to you. All of the commandments

are reckoned with this one act.

April 30th.~Exodus 14:13~Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

Today~If your spirit does not feel willing, do not force yourself

to any actions. Wait with patience until all is clear and do not go

against the healing of the Lord.
