WHEN EVIL LURKS

When evil lurks behind those doors,
And Satan's like a lion that roars.
Lord, when demons start to walk my way,
Surround me with Your angels that day.

Put a hedge of fire around me.
Protect me from my enemy.
Father God, protect me from harm.
Surround me with your loving arm.

I rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus.
Oh Lord, have mercy upon me with justice.
Whatsoever is bound on this land
Is bound in Heaven by God's Holy Hand.

I take authority in the name of our God.
Whatsoever is loosed on this earthly sod
Is loosed in Heaven by God's Holy power.
Satan, you've a deceiver and a liar.

Lord Almighty, You are stronger than Satan.
Help me to conquer evil until I've won.
Help me not to be deceived by sin I might not see.
Oh Lord our God, help me not to sin, I ask of Thee.

Holy Spirit, speak through me I ask and pray
With whoever I speak to throughout this day.
Lord help me to please You the way that I should
To obey You, be loving, honest and good.

When I'm tempted and tried, when I go through a test,
Lord, shower love and comfort and a time to rest.
When a trial seems to be too much for me,
Oh Lord, rescue me of it, I pray of Thee.

Grant me strength when I am suffering on this earth.
Remind me You've carried me ever since my birth.
Oh Lord, I cry out to Thee,
Answer my prayer speedily.

I have faith and trust You will always be there,
For Your Holy Spirit is everywhere.
You will carry me through all the wickedness,
And soon You'll take me Home to be with Jesus.
