Isn't this verse just really hard to take? Are we willing to make ourselves available for God's purposes and plan or are we sticking to our things? I was thinking about the word "surrender" today. I was thinking it is such an "out" word in our society. Our society talks about dominance, takeover, merger, buyout-but God talks about surrender. Surrendering our own lives. Our own wills-to Him.

Are you willing to surender? It's not just one time deal-but it is a constant thing. It is an everyday thing. Jesus talked about taking up you cross daily. When you surrender, you gain Christ and lose your fleshliness. And by surrendering our lives is exactly that.

You know what you have to surrender. God is showing you what to surrender. Don't avoid that nudging of the Holy Spirit when He prods areas of you life.
