I was sitting on the pier, just beyond the beach, talking to the Coastguard, about what he had to teach. He asked me about my anchor, the one I had attached, trying to see if I'd decided where I wanted to latch. I didn't know where I wanted to stay but I knew I wanted to have fun and play. He told me to think carefully about this decision, but I brushed Him off saying I didn't want division.
It was early in the morning when I left on board a ship, I couldn't wait to drop in the ocean and anchor for a dip. The sailing was so smooth, the water was so clean, I wondered what the Coastguard really ment or what He could possibly mean. Then suddenly wind and rain rocked the boat, I wondered in the crashing how we would ever stay afloat. When it was almost too late, I remembered the Coastguard just before my fate. He pulled me back not a minute too late, and asked me why I couldn't patiently wait. I finally realized my error the one I couldn't see in the midst of my terror. I told Him I was sorry for my mistake and He began to teach me about the things that I thought were fake.
He said "My child I love you so, and I want you to realize I could never let you go. Even when you thought you were unleashed, I held you in my love and you were never out of reach. Just anchor yourself to my dock and your coarse will never be rocked. You'll still struggle with chasing the bigger boats, but as long as I'm holding you, you'll never sink" |
