Harvest Time
It's harvest time again, a very busytime of year
Frost on the pumpkins, in the cornfield we see deer
Leaves of every color have fallen to the ground
Harvest time is busy, with every good sound.
Moms and dads are busy every minute of the day
Little children having a good time as they play
The kitchen is filled with baskets of tomatoes,
jars of jam
apples, pears, jellies all ready when we eat our ham.
It's harvest time and we gather food from morn till night
The fields are almost bare, we watch birds take flight
The deers run and play as they eat corn left there
Little children playing in the leaves, trees are now bare.
Dads and moms, hug each other as they watch the moonlight
And thank God for blessings, such a harvest delight
The hard work is over and now rest for awhile
We gather around at harvest time, laugh, sing and smile.
It's fun to see the deers running through the corn
Frost on the pumpkins, sunrise in early morn
The harvest moon climbing over the hill
Watch moms and dads at harvest time, jars to fill.
