Our Easter Cactus
Our pink flowered Easter cactus
gives us much pleasure when it's in full bloom.
Cacti are interesting plants
striking examples of adaptation in which they grow
in the wild.
To survive they have to do without water during
long periods of drought, so they have modified
their structure to enable them to store rain water
whenever it falls.
We too, should learn to adapt to circumstances,
we can't change, instead of wasting energy, resenting
something that will happen regardless.
The lovely Easter cactus has a valuable message
for every one of us, as well as being just a beautiful
plant to look at.
