Winter
As we listen to the cold winds blow
bringing down drafts of ice and snow
We bring out our skates and skis
We face the cold with winter glee.
God's lovely world has gone to sleep
cause of well earned rest it needs
So like we work by day
dark tucks us in, God's own way.
Nature works in God's great plan
the pattern is given to world and man
to do God's work in His own way
rest by night and work by day.
So as we follow in all we do
His Holy plan will guide us through
this life, to work while its light
to earn the rest of eternal night.
We live that when our summers comes
we do not like the thief who runs
from God, work till the shadows fall
so we can welcome our Master's call.
