Hi! My name is Debbie and I'm a new member here and would like to share a bit about myself and the call God has  given me for Intercessory prayer, especially on behalf of pastors and other Christian leaders!

A little over 10 years ago...I knew the Lord was calling me to "full-time ministry".

As I sought for His direction...I sensed His still small voice speak in my spirit....."I am calling you to a Ministry Of Intercession." I  (as most of you) have never heard of that as a ministry.

I sought the Lord for months in prayer concerning the matter and was drawn over and over again to scripture  concerning intercession and prayer found in isaiah, Ezekiel, and 2 Chronicles.(These scripture now form the foundational basis for this ministry)

Still I had no idea what a "Ministry of Intercession" was all about...(and 10 years later, I'm still...learning!)

 As I continued to pray about it and seek the Lord for confirmation and direction....

I "happened" to have my radio tuned to a Christian station one day and a radiobroadcast of In Touch Ministries...came on and Brother Charles Stanley began that broadcast by saying....."Today I am going to speak to you today about the nine requirements for a MINISTRY OF INTERCESSORY PRAYER!".

Well, I grabbed paper and pen and outlined the whole broadcast.I then went to my senior pastor and said... Look! This is what the Lord has been speaking to my heart for months!!!......

My Pastor confirmed he also felt this was the call God has on my life and its been 10 years of "on the job training " via the Holy Spirit" ever since!  To God be the glory......!

 Shortly after that, I realized there was little or no information in our area on prayer ministries...most churches operate on the basis of "implied" prayer....that is it is implied that prayer is at the foundation and basis of all we do.

The problem with implied prayer is it often becomes a classic case of Everybody, Somebody and Nobody.....Everybody believes that Somebody is praying for our churches and their ministries while Nobody is actually doing it on a consice consistent basis.

 As evidence of that fact look and see, most of you can name at least one church devastated by splits, conflicts and strife and at least one or more pastors who have quit the ministry entirely for one reason or another...the reasons most often stem to a lack of prayer covering on a consistent daily basis!

Intentional Prayer Ministry......Intentional prayer ministry is praying on purpose, with the specific intent to seek the will of God, the direction of the Holy spirit is leading us in our personal spiritual lives and ministry.

Praying with a sensitivity to what the Holy Spirit is directing us to do, then obediently doing it!  Intentional Prayer Ministries pray on purpose with a specific direction and focus as directed by the Holy Spirit.

  Intentional Prayer Ministries specifically targets maintaining consistent, consice prayer coverings over all areas of your church, its leaders and ministry outreaches.

Peter Wagner has said,"The most underutilized source of spiritual power in churches today is intercession for Christian leaders." (emphasis mine)

An Intentional prayer ministry is one which acknowledges that this has been the case in the past, but seeks now to begin tapping into intercessory prayer as THE number one resource available to our churches and ministry leaders.

Intentional Prayer Ministries view prayer, especially intercessory prayer as our FIRST and FOREMOST RESOURCE rather than a last resort. 

       It is our vision to see intentional prayer ministries in place at the local church level across the USA and beyond as the Spirit leads.

 We are praying for the Holy Spirit to call and anoint at least one Prayer Coordinator in every Christian church and ministry and that the person God anoints for that area will be obedient to stand in the gap and make up the hedge around the pastor and/or ministry leaders they are accountable to and for in the Holy Spirit.

Will you be the one to answer the call?

We are here to network the intercessors we believe God is even NOW calling and anointing from the north, south, east and west...

Intercessors called to pray the price for the areas they are called to be ministers in,

 Now is the time of harvest and the price must be prayed in the heavenlies before we see it fullfilled here on earth.

 If you feel that call on your heart to stand in the gap on behalf of others, you are part of this growing network. Will you say in your heart........?
