“Charity?

As I stare outside through the glass in my window.
I see numerous snowcapped mountains with evergreens a plenty.
As I ponder over God’s creation, my heart becomes filled with sorrow. There are so many problems, yet so little time.
On the other side of those hills, there is a city full of destruction!
Satan’s playground, if you please.
It’s only a matter of time before God brings an end to his folly.
But until then, he continues to gather his people.
As I stare outside through the glass in my window.
I sense a battle between good and evil. Michael and his angels are engaged in a battle that cannot be won until the day Satan is cast into Hell forever.
As I stare outside through the glass in my window.
My vision is blurred, yet my mind sees clearly.
I picture a man and he is speaking of Jesus, he’s being rejected and mocked for simply trying to help.
I see hatred, jealousy, sex, drugs and violence, Sodom and Gomorrah revisited. It’s only a matter of time, why won’t they listen?
As I stare outside through the glass in my window.
The outside is blurry now and my mind has gone blank.
Now what am I to do?
The reflection before me looks very familiar.
Where does he stand when the Lord returns?
What has he done for the Kingdom today?
As I stare outside through the glass in my window.
What does that guy in the reflection have to show for his brief stay on earth? What has he personally built upon to take with him into eternity? Is there anything he can take with him?
What is there?
Let’s take a look:
He has faith, tons of faith, faith to move mountains!
But this will no longer be needed, as he will be present with the Lord.
He has hope; he is able to instantly give an answer to the hope in which he has in his heart and soul.
Although, his hope will no longer be needed as the wait will be over.
What about knowledge, wisdom, popularity, money, fame or looks?
I can go on and on, yet no longer needed.
What is it then? What can I take with me to heaven?
Charity = Love in action.
As in the reflection, when everything is gone and I stand in the presence of Christ. It is simple, there will be Christ seated at the Father’s right. There will be myself, along with the charity that I have built up in my heart towards others, which never fails and will be with me throughout eternity.
Yes, we will be known in Heaven as we were known on earth.
As I stare outside through the glass in my window.
I snap out of it and come back to my senses.
I have come to this very important conclusion.
Without charity, I am nothing!

I Corinthians chapter 13
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
**Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.  But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
