Let Everything That Has Breath Praise The LORD
"My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever" Psalm 145:21 NIV
I have tried to make a habit of spending time in prayer before I arise from bed in the morning. While my husband is shaving and dressing and preparing for work, I remain beneath the blankets and worship my FATHER. As soon as I begin my prayers, the smallest of our three cats Keebler comes rushing into bed beside me, even when I worship in silence and have not made a sound. I know that he isn't looking for food, for he gets his breakfast earlier. He simply wants to join me in prayer. He curls up and begins a very loud purring, and I DO believe he is singing his praises to GOD. He has not missed a morning yet. In fact, he gets quite disturbed if I decide to sit up and read the Bible instead of taking time to pray. He rubs against the book, trying to get me to put it down. So, he reminds me of my need to pray, this furry little accountability partner of mine.
As it is written in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 "If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up"
An unlikely prayer partner you might say, but I simply say, "thank you Keebler, and may our GOD continue to bless us both."
