The Last Walk
I wonder who'll be there
When I'm old and gray
Who will take my hand?
And show me the way.
I think about dying alone
As now, I'm truly alone
About the years to come
Each day, I get a little bit older
In the end, will there be someone?
Will they miss me, when I'm gone?
Remember my mistakes along
life's highway?
Will they say
I've come to know, the Man upstairs
In the last several years
He's there for me
when I reach out
He loves me
a sinner, there's no doubt.
I think about the past, present
and future
He knows
I'm lonely and full of fears
I can't go back and undo the wrong
Just know in the end
it'll be Him
to wipe away my tears.
