I am a new member here. Thank you for accepting me.
My daughter turns 21 on 2/17. She is in the hospital at Duke University waiting for a double lung transplant. Her name is Rachel.
She is born again, and is prepared to accept whatever the Lord has planned for her in this. She has come this far through a succession of miracles, nearly dying 2 seperate times since August. Even getting to the hospital in NC from Florida was a provision from the Lord as she was too ill to travel by convential means.
She feels the Lord is telling her to "be still and see that I am God." right now. He is quiet, but we feel Him with us all the time. Even though we don't know when or how this will happen and we know she is running out of time as she continues to decline, we simply know that God is there.
We are praying for the donor family. Unless my tests prove that I am able and that her uncle is able, she will get cadavier lungs. I pray that whomever dies and donates their organs knows Christ already, and trades this lifes hardships for the blessings to come. Rachel says it would be better to for her to go home to the Lord than someone to die that does not know Him.
Thank you for lifting her up. Her husband is Chris. He is with her and could use lifting up too.
Thanks again!
Marie
