Even though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4
WHO PILOTS YOUR SOUL?
As you travel down life's road,
Who is in the pilot's seat?
When you begin eternity,
Who will you greet?
When we received the breath of life,
God filed a flight plan for our soul.
The BIBLE is our flight manual,
(BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH)
So the route we may know.
Sometime in our life we must choose,
The final destination our soul will take.
Our choice is ever important,
Because our eternity is at stake
When we get to the ticket booth,
“One ticket please?we will say.
Down the road of life we travel,
Toward our destination every day.
The Instruction Manual gives directions,
How to travel through haze and fog.
We must travel the straight and narrow,
But no entries are required in a log.
Often we take over the controls,
And put God in the co-pilot seat,
We are asking for serious trouble,
If during that time, DEATH we should meet.
Thinking we can survive Satan's hazards,
We fly our plane from the pilot's seat.
Dear friends, we will be in deep trouble,
When we approach the judgment seat.
When flying in a plane ~ a rule,
Each pilot has had to learn.
Once a trip is half over, we enter,
The point of no return.
With God there's no, 'point of no return'.
Until the last earthly breath, we can say, "Yes".
If, “No?should be our final answer,
Then Hell will be our permanent address.
Before our ticket is punched,
Our destination must be sure.
Before that final breath,
Our spiritual life we must secure.
God knows Satan wants to guide our ship,
So that our souls will be Hell bound.
But in the final analysis,
God's forgiveness will always be found.
As you travel down life's road
Who is in the Pilot's seat?
When you begin eternity,
Who will you greet?
in His steps
