| The Soul Maker Knows
There is a line in the soul of man
he surely shall cross in his life-span,
in guilt does he take his next deep breath
or will he find peace before his death.
How small the lock where belief is the key
which opens the eyes that he may see.
How thin this filament on which he treads
as time slips by, it pulls to shreds.
In ignorance he may try to hide
or take his friend to be his guide.
To be a witness or witness a wrath
depends only on the choice of his path.
Will others see this line he has crossed,
whether he is peaceful or wind-tossed?
He may fool them wherever he goes,
but he can be sure the Soul Maker knows. in his steps |
