Autumn
The golden glory of autumn, is around us everywhere
Especially now in October
When there's a crispness in the air
There's a soft haze over the meadow
The sumac is flaming red
Along the fence, beside the road
The goldenrod nods its head.
Maples and oaks are blooming with leaves of every hue
From gold and brown to crimson
Against the skies deepest blue
This is nature's grand finale'
When summer comes to an end
The curtain will drop and once again
Winter will descend.
