Missionaries
Some missionaries came to our church today They live in Africa, far, far away In the country of Rwanda land of the storm That brought hatred for a time and made it the norm
One million were killed in one hundred days Genocide to remember in many bad ways But out of this rampage devilish work God’s Spirit hung over a new mission work.
From Canada came a man with a tent To spread the good news of peace he was sent And to love the unlovable he showed the way With his wife also she had plenty to say
Of how the Lord Jesus was Lord of their life And carried their burdens without any strife How He had healed a cancerous growth And how He had supplied the needs of them both.
They did not live in fear because they have faith Nor do they spin to the tune of life’s only lathe But out of this depression of darkness and gloom They shine out God’s light like the rays of the moon.
