"Christmas Eve Night"

Stockings hung and the christmas tree aglow
looking out the window it had begun to snow.
Children are filled with excitment and delight
waiting for santa to call on christmas eve night.
Treats for santa and his reindeer are on the table
as a story is read of the holy birth in a stable.
Tucked up in bed the children are dreaming
as down onto the snow the moon is beaming.
Mum and dad relax sharing a glass of sherry
then he kisses her under the mistletoes berry.
Everything all prepared now its time to sleep
creeping upstairs in on the children do peep.
To see kids happy faces when santas been
is the most precious of all christmas scene.
