Don't feel like your bugging me ever....

I understand how your feeling, I'm doing the same thing with recipes for a family cookbook. For that I'm going to be puting them on my computer in docs then saving them on a disc so I won't loss them if it comes down to it.
As for the group I'll keep you posted as to whats going on, right now I'm waiting, going to check out live groups next month when it opens and see if its like we have now, I already checked out multiply and it's like myspace and facebook so to me I don't see it working very well for groups, I did open a group for myself so I could see what the lay out was and you can store recipes in it...if you'd like to check it out let me know and I'll send you a invite.
It would work for keeping in touch with everyone but I don't see being able to play games and not having backgounds is a biggy but I would like to use my own, and posting recipes will take longer to do but maybe if I learn how to operate the site it might be ok....
