General : I just can't stay away from hospitals

I go see my dad right after work and he was just getting back from his test. He was mad as can be because they won't let him eat. I leave there about 5:45 get home, walk the dogs AND Jack the wild boy had a seizure while we're walking. I was so scared that he would die. I saw this girl get out of her car so I asked her if she could help me and she let me use her phone so I could call the police for help (have to buy food and toys for the animal shelter). So the animal control lady helped me walk across the field back to the house. She walked my two and I helped Jack because he was still staggering. When I got home he was still sick so I had to rush him to an emergency vet. I just got home a few minutes ago.

I hope I'm not next to go because I'm the only one that hasn't had to go to the hospital in the last 12 months

Then none of the dogs have a license from the city so I was scared I'd get in trouble.

I know that was scary for you Wendy. I hope Jack will be okay. Does the vet know what happened to cause the seizure?? He sure is lucky to have you around.

He seemed okay this morning just kind of quiet. When he heard me getting ready to leave though he jumped up and came running so I wouldn't forget his treat. lol He was sure to chase the cat too. They don't know what caused it. I have to call my vet to make an appointment so he can check him out.

Wendy, you have my sympathy. Shame on Jack for trying to get attention

in a negative way (that rascal). I'm so sorry about you having to go to the

hospital. I've had 3 people in my life that I had to go to hospitals for, on a

chronic basis and I hated it. But I felt guilty when I didn't go see them.

Do you have to pay for parking? I had to pay for parking at the downtown

hospitals and it added up to quite a bit of money, but I had no choice.

Hang in there kid.

Biscuit to be honest with you I hate going too. I still go every day though because I feel guilty too if I don't. It's odd how I can find time when other people in my family can't (sorry its a sore subject with me right now). I do have to pay to park but its only $2.50 and if you go twice you can get a stamp so you don't have to pay again. Though after him being in there 10 times it gets kind of expensive. I'd park across the street in the bank parking lot but its not the neighborhood to be doing that in.

Jack drives me crazy (lol) but I was so scared last night.

and ya still have to walk in with a smile on your face. Having a good nurse

is a wonderful thing, but there is nothing like family to make you feel better.

i'm so sorry, wendy! i'm hugging you all in my thoughts and prayers!

(hey maybe this is your calling... you spend so much time in hospitals and vets offices, and taking care of others, maybe you are being told that nursing is what you should be doing!) sometimes i think it is easier taking care of other people than it is taking care of family!
