but (as an afterthought) regarding extended warranties, (and this doesn't really have to do with the topic at hand, overall), it is best to buy your own extended warranty rather than getting it through the dealer... we have a client who deals in the extended warranties and the lady there that i deal with told me how much she would have charged me for the extended warranty vs. how much i actually paid. when she told me (and i don't remember the amount now because it has been a couple of years), i said, "PER YEAR?"  (LOL) and she said "No. Total."  I mean, the dealer tacked on an extra zero to what i paid for my extended warranty through them. i could have KICKED myself for that... so next vehicle i buy, i am going through my client instead! i had no clue that was what they did till it was too late!
