1. Do the critters have the same scent throw as a candle or tart? And can they be reactivated by a warm blow dryer?(I've heard of this but never tried it)
Yes & no. The critters have a wonderful scent throw but unlike the candles the scent will not travel as far - in other words they will scent a room but not the entire house.
Yes they can be reactivated by running a blow dryer over them. I have seen other companies that offer a spray bottle of fragrance oil to spray on them when they start to fade but in all honestly do not see what that would do for them - these are dipped & coated with wax so spraying a liquid on them would not penetrate that thus giving no advantage I can see. I hand dip each one which means that they are also hand drained allowing the wax & fragrance oil to penetrate it throughout.
2. Are all of the candles soy? Or do we also use parrafin, or bees wax?
No - onle the wax used for tealights , tins & parfaits & mugs are a customsoy/parrafin blend. I also use a custome parrafin blend & gel wax.
3. Are our candles soot free?
I take great lengths testing each type of candle I make - thus the reason I do not carry jar candles yet. If they are properly taken care of they will burn soot free. Any candle not trimmed or properly extinguished can produce soot . One major cause of soot is not properly trimming the wicks. I test burn each candle before lauching it as well as have it tested by 2-3 others.
4.How do the reed diffusers work. (I've never seen them before, sorry to sound ignorant)
I have discontinued the reed diffusers. In all honestly after testing them the last month myself I do not feel they have the scent throw I look for when adding a product to the line.
5.What are some major selling points other than our high quality, low prices, and looks that we can tell our customers to really Wow them?
I think you have hit all the points here but another great selling point to the pie candles are that each product with fruit slices/pieces are highly fragrant because each piece of fruit is actually individually scented - when you burn a peach pie not only is the gel base scented but also each piece of fruit. Also the pie base is filled with fruit.
All fragrance oils used are undiluted - this means they are not watered down & the maximun amount is used that is allowable for the wax used. I am very fussy about my fragrance oils & if the scent is not right on I will not carry it.
How long do you suggest storing the candles, and what is the best method to keep the scent strong?
If the candles are kept in a cool dark place they can be stored for quite a long time. You can ask my SIL Sally I have given her candles over a year old I had left from shows or that got damaged in shows & they are just as fragrant as when I made them. I do suggest storing in plastic totes & the reason being because the totes keep the scent in & outside odors out.
