Due to the volume of emails we receive we no longer able to respond individually to people asking for permission to use my art as Sigs, Tags, Tubes, etc. Please follow the terms listed below. Can I use Nene's images on my site, make Sigs, Tags, Tubes, Web-sets (etc) or download them?
Recently, there has been a rash of sites that are using Nene's art without permission and without giving credit to her.
First, her images may NOT be used on any pay site.
Second, any of Nene's work that is displayed MUST be clearly labeled as "© Nene Thomas", and a link to www.nenethomas.com must be included with the image.
Third, you MAY feather, mask, crop, add your name, sparkles, glitter, glows, slight animation, etc. However, you may under NO circumstances, alter her artwork SIGNIFICANTLY in any way.
Fourth, Nene's artwork can NOT be combined with another artist's work.
And last but not least, you may NOT sell Nene's images as avatars, websets, tags, sigs, tubes, shipping labels, etc; etc.
We have a few basic rules
#1 Give me credit on each page/place you show my art.
#2 Give me a link back to my web site.
#3 Don't use my images on a commercial web site.
#4 Don't use my art on any web site that has anything pornographic or offensive. More Info
Anyone may use any of my images on a noncommercial site so long as they give me proper credit.
The reasons I ask those who are displaying my art on their pages to embed my copyright information is because although you have asked for permission to use my work, what about people that copy my work from your site and use it for themselves? This is where a vast majority of the problem comes from: if someone sees my work on your site and likes it, they can copy the picture directly from you and use it without ever contacting me in the first place, thereby circumventing the rules. I am very easy to work with: as long as my rules are adhered to, I have no problems with people doing tags or websets or the like. The way you embed my information is as follows: take the image into photoshop (or whatever paint program you use) and add a line at the bottom of the image that says “�?Nene Thomas�? It doesn’t have to be big, but it does have to be legible, and it has to be on the image…not below it. This is so some unscrupulous individual out there doesn’t take the image off of your site and crop out the copyright information. I would appreciate a link back to my website, but that doesn’t have to be on the image, just on the page that the image is displayed on your website. Just having a link to me on the "links page" is not good enough. The following are mismarked. These are not the art of Nene Thomas.
Please check your folders and delete it if you have either of them.  This tube is mismarked and is not a Nene Thomas image.

Yes. As long as it is for personal use, and you follow my usage guidelines and don't redistribute them in any way it's fine. I saw 'such & such' using your artwork in a way not described here...why aren't I allowed? Probably because they aren't allowed either! If you see Nicole's art being used in a manner that you think is breaching copyright or her Usage rules don't hesitate to let her know! She does occasionally bend the rules (and she does keep all her emails which details what she allowed). Nicole appreciates anyone letting her know if someone's not abiding by her rules. I bought a print/original painting from you. Can I make products from it? When you buy a print or an original, even if you commission an artwork, unless you buy or pay for licensing rights you are not entitled to create anything from the piece. You are paying for the print/ painting only, not the 'rights'. Rule Changes
Due to no longer being under strict MSN rules, we can lighten the rules a bit.
I am going to take baby steps in making changes. To be honest, I'm happy with them
as they are now because it will be less work for us. MSN was so very strict with copyright art. It forced us to not allow outside
tags being brought into the group and members using them. If you used our
tags, we pretty much knew they were safe, unless we made an occasional booboo.
By using our tags, it makes far less messages in Jacque's corner as well. Oh....by
the way, it still bothers us to write those notes. It doesn't bother us that you made
the booboo, just having to tell you is so very difficult. When new members come in and can't post tags, I'm sure they shy away and don't
give us a chance. We will now allow members to use tags made outside the group.
I guess I need to be honest with you though....Another problem I have with this is that
we have made you so many tags, that I don't want you only posting the tags you've
had made elsewhere either. Our taggers will get hurt not seeing their tags posted.
I guess that would include me as well, so do it sparingly and not make it a huge habit.
You need to be aware that the tags you bring in has to be on our lists of artists, safe tubes,
dolls, photography. All tags HAVE to have credits as we have them posted,
and if we can't clearly make them out, they will be deleted and a note left in Jacque's Corner
for you. We have a post on how to apply credits. You might want to review it the rules
we have in place for credit stipulations. No gifts can be brought in the group for pressies. That rule will stay the same.
Anyone can post their own tags they've made as long as we have permission
for that particular image. You must be a member tagger
