Hi Ginny,
It's you and me Babe!
Are you ready to have a week of being spoiled?T  This is our chance to get better acquainted.  Hopefully you will feel really spoiled by the end of the week.  I will tell you a little more about me later in the week, but I think you already know me pretty well.   I don't share recipes...reason, I quit cooking some time ago.  How???  Well, it's like this.  I have a husband who does 99% of it, and actually I love that he does.  In our younger days I had to cook supper for the girls, then again when he got home.  I got so sick of it.  Now I don't really like to cook.  Got questions????? Now is a great time to ask them too.  I will do my best to answer them.
I will be back.....that's something you can count on.
Huggss,

Friends Are Cherished People

Friends are cherished people whom we
carry in our hearts wherever we go in life.

We may spend a lot of time together,
getting to know each other and sharing
each other's lives, then have to
move on to other places.

But no matter where we go, we always
remember the wonderful people
who touched our lives...

No matter where we go in life,
we always remember
the people who loved us and helped us
learn more about ourselves, the people
who stayed by us when we had to face
difficult times, and with whom we felt
safe enough to reveal our true selves.

Friends are the unforgettable people we
dreamed and planned great futures
with, who accepted us as
we were and encouraged us to become
all that we wanted to be.

Hi Krista,

I hope you are safe and not in any danger from the hurricane.  I have been trying to watch the news for anything.  I just heard the winds are up to 70 miles an hour.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I will tell you a little about me a little later.  I wanted to get your pressie's posted so you would know that I have been thinking about you.  There is always something popping up in the group that needs my attention.  I am trying to juggle about 20 plus things at one time.   The first tag doesn't look so great on this dark background, but it looks fine on white.

Hugs

Jacque

Hi Krista,

I am earlier than I predicted.  I haven't heard any more about the storms there, but I have you in my thoughts and prayers and hopefully you everyone affected will be okay.  I think of everyone when there is trouble like that.

I think I have told you a little about me on your Welcome, but I may repeat as there just isn't much to tell about me.  My name is pronouned "Jackie"  I just spell it differntly than most.  My real name is Jacqueline.  In the 3rd grade I decided to be different and drop the "line" and make Jacque for my nickname.  I've never used Jacqueline other than probably mom used it when she was upset with me.  I tried not to let that happen too often.  Way back then kids respected their parents and tried hard to be good.  I have lots of hobbies and can do about anything, but I enjoy my computer more than any of the others, and haven't done them in ages.
I have five granddaughters and will be having three grandchildren very soon.  Our youngest is getting married again in September and the guy she is going to marry has two girls.  I have two daughters, one lives here in Topeka, Kansas with 2 girls and one in Texas that has 3 girls.  Our first granddaughter is having her first baby, so I will be a great grandma.  I guess that tells ya I'm not a kid.

I enjoy making others happy and try to make a difference.  We have many members that are not well, and I do hope I can help them forget and enjoy part of their day.  It is very important to me.

I hope your day is terrific and that you are safe.
I will not be feeling too whippy today as we have a vending route that we service and fill pop, coffee, and snack machines.  It is hard work, and I will be exhausted.  I hope to make it late but it depends on how much it affects me.  I will do my best, but if I don't I will make up for it.
Take care now.

Hugs
Jacque

Hi Krista,

I am so happy that you are safe and the storm
wasn't too bad.  That has to be hard to live with.
I have a couple of pressies that our dear Sue
has helped me out with for today.
She is very talented and has made
a couple tags for me to give to you.  I know you
are going to love both of them, but the last one
I think you will really like.
I hope your day is a wonderful one.
I've been up about 21 hours, so guess I had better
head for dreamland.  I will see ya later today.
Have a good one.

Hugs

Jacque

Hi Krista,

Geesh!  It is Friday already
My how the week is flying by.  I guess the month is half over too when I stop to think about that.  I hope you had a great day Thursday, and may Friday be a better one.
It's been a busy busy day, but all days seem to go that way.  I'm just now getting rested from Tuesday, so I was able to accomplish more today too.    Do you have any questions while we are still in our special room?  Now would be a good time to fire away.
I have a couple more pressies to spoil you with today.  Hopefully you will like them.

Huggss,

Jacque

Life is a miracle

Life is a miracle
don't let it slip away,
Open your heart to others
give of yourself each day.
See the beauty in everyone
regardless of where they've been,
Some have a difficult journey
and really need a friend.
Share your gifts and talents
listen with your heart.
Do the things you dream about
but don't have time to start.
Pick a bouquet of flowers
show someone that you care,
Be gracious and forgiving
life is never fair.
Hold on to your courage
you may need it down the road,
We all have a cross to bear
it could be a heavy load.
If you practice all these things
no matter where you roam,
You may find both sun and rain
but you'll never feel alone!

Hi Krista,
Wishing you one fantastic weekend.  Do you have big plans?  We will spend some time with our daughter and two grandchildren.  They don't live far from us, but they are so busy we rarely get to see them.  The are growing up so fast.

Tuesday's are a rough day for me, so if I miss that day I hope you understand.  I try hard not to.  We have vending route that we service and fill pop, coffee, and snack machines.  It is very hard work.

Once you find me, the spoiling can begin!
I'm really looking forward to this week we will share and get to know each other better.  I already know you are a special lady.

Hi Just Jo,

It was so good to see you are feeling better today.  I sure hope the same applies this late in the day as well. I hope our group can make a difference in your days and hopefully you have something you can relax doing when you are feeling not so good.  I imagine you have lots of those moments.  We are so glad that you are here.

This set reminds me way back when....when I was just a kid growing up.  I started working at age 14, and I wanted a hope chest to put all the hand made items I made and gifts from my grandma and mom.  I still have that hope chest.  It is pretty fragile now, but holds lots of memories of the past.

I would love to be able to see your part of the World and your beautiful sunsets.  I hope you were able to go for that stroll.  I pray that you will get to feeling better too.  I wish I could make that happen for you.

I left a message for Binx, Sue and Rose to let them know how much you liked their tags.  I have more for you as well.  They really have made several and I will give you a few more.  The first one is from
Angelbear, she is so talented.  The second one is from Sue, she is also very talented.  The third one is from me.
Enjoy

Hugs

Jacque

Many years have come and gone,
Since I was in my teens...
When boys all wanted their first car,
And girls were full of dreams.

A hope chest was the one gift,
That all the girls yearned for....
To fill with sheets and blankets too,
New dishes and much more.

And when we all had married,
It became our treasure chest...
A haven for the priceless things,
Those mementos we loved best.

A golden ringlet that adorned,
We saved from baby's head...
Booties from those tiny feet,
A blanket from his bed.

Photos of our loved ones,
All the things that might be lost...
If left just laying here and there,
Might even have been tossed.

It's just a wooden hope chest,
That bulges at its' seams...
But it's filled with entire lifetime,
Of all our hopes and dreams.

Who wants this chest and what's inside?
Or will it just be sold?
Because the contents kept in there,
Are yellowed now and old?

Hi Just Jo,

I tried to get back sooner, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.  It seems like so much has gone wrong this week, and we've had to spend so much time in trying to make repairs.  We try to do them first, and if all fails then we have to break down and hire someone.  It doesn't seem to end lately.  We have two vehicles that needs lots of work too, and of course we can't do that type of repairs since technology has changed from the olden days when we could make repairs.

I'm so happy you got the opportunity to go for that walk.  You appreciate the beauty of what you see.  I know you appreciate everything too.  I bet that was wonderful.  It sure sounded peaceful and so beautiful.

I have some more pressies for you.  The first one is made by me.  The second one is made by Binx.

Hugs

I'm so happy you got the opportunity to go for that walk.  You appreciate the beauty of what you see.  I know you appreciate everything too.  I bet that was wonderful.  It sure sounded peaceful and so beautiful.

I am going to be really dumb, but I never heard of Grouper Sandwiches.  I don't think we Kansans have heard of that before....at least not this one.

I don't think the young girls of today even knows what a hope chest is.  I remember wanting one so bad.  I worked during my lunch hour and after school to buy it.  I also bought my first car at 16.  We didn't have much as I was growing up.

I hope your appointments go well.  I bet the doctors keeps close tabs on you.  I'm glad you feel very comfy with them.  That makes a big difference and really helps.  A trip to your friends tomorrow will probably wear you out too.

I'm so glad you are enjoying our group.  It is planned that way ya know.  People are important, and it is my goal to help everyone, especially those that are very ill and need a place to escape and feel some tender loving care.  We have many here.

I have some more pressies for you.  The first one is made by me.  The second one is made by Binx.  I'm glad you are enjoying your new tags.   Yes, we have lots of talent here Just Jo....I think we have the best.  We've been together for some time, not just here but prior to being here.  Many of us have known each other for over four years.  I got talked into making a place for all of us to be together.  Then we opened the group not too long ago to bring in a few new members.  We are small, but a pretty active group.

Hugs
Jacque

Hi Just Jo,

This will be my last day to spoil ya.  I have really enjoyed getting to know you, and I hope you have enjoyed your week too.  When you are up to it, make sure you play the games on the General Board and win some of those neat siggies.  If you ever need help, please post in manager help.  I try to look in there very often.  I pray that you are doing okay, and that today is a better day for you.  I will keep those prayers coming too.

Please keep in touch with me.  I have a mailbox you can leave me messges, and I will try to get back to you asap.  Sometimes that is pretty impossible, but some days are better than others in getting everything done I want to.
I have some more tags for you.  The first one is from Binx, the second one is from Angelbear, and the last one is from me.
Huggss,
Jacque

If You Come Across An Angel

Everyday in the real world around us, real-life
angels are doing the things they do.
And bringing smiles to the real world around them.
Real-life angels build bridges instead of walls. They don't play hide and seek with the truth, and they don't have hidden agendas. They tend to be the only ones who understand what you're going through. If they sense that you're hurting they do whatever they can to help you.

Real-life angels understand difficulties and always give the benefit of the doubt. They don't hold others up to the standards they can't live by themselves.
Real-life angels are what "inner beauty" is all about.

Real-life angels don't hold things against you; the only thing they hold is you. They take your hand in theirs when you could use a little reassurance. They walk beside you when you could do with a little guidance and direction in your life. And they support you in your attempts to do what is right.

If someone in your life is wonderfully like an angel to you, it is important to let them know. It is the nicest compliment that you could ever give. In all the days of your life and in all the years that you live.   If you come across an angel like this, you are one of the luckiest people of all.
