Our Friendship

Our friendship is soothing
Like a warm gentle breeze
A soft, tender rustle
Thru the leaves of the trees ...

Our friendship can bloom
Like a beautiful spring day
Yours and mine did

In such a wonderful way ...

Our friendship brings rainbows
After the storm
It appears in the winter
To keep our hearts warm ...

Our friendship withstands hardships
As the winter wind blows
Like a candle in the window
With its soft warm glow.

Poetry by Christine McClimans

Touch my heart and I'll touch yours
With a gentle word or two,
For kindness bears the sweetest fruit
That makes our dreams come true.

Touch my life with tenderness
And fill my cup with love.
Share my dreams as I share yours
Beyond the stars above

Take my hand as I grow old
And lead me when I'm blind.
Show me that you really care
Good Friends are hard to find.

Touch my heart and I'll touch yours
A little more each day
And then we will both find happiness
Somewhere along the way

The gift of friendship
Both given and received
Is joy, love, and nurturing
For the heart.

The realization that you
Have met a soul mate ...
A kindred spirit ...
A sister ... a true friend ...

Is one of life's sweetest gifts !

For all the times you listened

while I rambled on and on...

For the comfort that you gave me

when my days were cold and long...

For the sunshine of your smile

with its brilliance warm and true...

For the wisdom of your words

when I didn't have a clue...

For standing tall beside me,

proud to be my friend...

For assembling my pieces

when I needed help to mend...

For sharing in my laughter

when the good times rolled around...

For the solace of your silence

when I fell and hit the ground....

For all these things and so much more

these words I give to you...

Of all the friends in all the world

the truest one is you
