Morning All, Thanks so much to Chris, ChicagoBeth, Sofia Ray, Diane, Upper Penisula, Meechlette, Sherrock, Rondiepoo, Jo, Sandy and August for the great welcomes. As far as an intro here goes: I am 41 and currently exiled in Texas. I am a Yankee thru and thru- Pennsylvania born with previous stops in Kentucky, Maine and Illinois. My work background is in social services/ministry and education. Have been dealing with some health concerns so hope to soon be on the job lookout. I love music, books, writing, sports (season ticket holder for both the Houston Texans and RodeoHouston), wallpaper crafts and lots of other stuff. Not blessed with children. Let's see, I am cheering for the Bucs tomorrow. Oh yes, and I am looking forward to getting to know you all better in the days ahead. Blessings, Paula |

She has a voice!!! : )
It's good to hear from you.........Upper is our sports fanatic of the Group (well their are others but she's pretty much the team leader in that department in my book)......So the two of you will have lots to talk about or root for I am sure......... There are lots of us here that are not blessed with children, as you so kindly put it, my words would be 'saddled' but hey i wasn't the one speaking....... Nonetheless, i think that you will see that all of us here have one thing or another in common.... ...whether it is a shared interest or a desire to learn something that another has knowledge of ................. Nonetheless, good to hear from you......and keep butting your head in and saying something......BTW, i hope you will be up and adam in know time................ |

PaulaTX: Very nice to get to know a few things about you. I am also a big sports fan (St. Louis Teams mostly). You'll have to check out our "Let's Talk Sports" thread. Also, our "Pictures of Loved Ones" thread is a great way to put a face with a name. Once you feel comfortable and at home in our group, maybe you will let us see you. Many of the ladies (and sometimes the men) in this group will have you rolling on the floor laughing. If you are a reader, check out our "February Book Club" thread for the book we will be starting in February. August has picked out a dandy for us to read and discuss. Look forward to hearing from you again soon. Chris |
