Rodney paced impatiently outside the ICU ward of Cedars Sinai. It had been eight hours since he had phoned Simon and he had yet to arrive. Rodney’s thoughts drifted back in time remembering when he first met Bunny........ It had been 3 years ago in spring when he and Simon first sat in the offices of the prestigious law firm, Hopper, Hopper & Boyd.

Rodney J. Girauni grew up in Doylestown a small community in the southeastern borough of Pennsylvania. At 19, he had already grown to be a vision of beauty. At 6' 2" he towered over most the other boys at school, his creamy brown skin taut and muscular made him the favorite amongst the young girls who squirmed in delight at the mere sight of him. But Rodney didn't waste time on extra curricular activities; the conquest of women would have to wait. Since the age of three he knew exactly what he wanted to be.... a superstar....... a performer...... an American Idol................His voiced was laced with a sweetness that only angels could possess and when he sang it was as if the heavens opened up the skies and showered you with their grace...... Rodney Justin Girauni wanted to be a star and there was nothing in the world that would stop him. Nothing. It had been a year to the day after high school graduation when Rodney J. packed his bags, kissed his mother goodbye and hitched a ride to find his dreams. He was on his way to California...... in search of his new life, a new self......... he left the old Rodney J. behind and became Justin Girauni.
