My favourite place in the whole wide world is Vancouver, specifically the North Shore.  Consider yourself lucky that I am not satisfied with my resize pics.  Regardless, I've found lots of other photos to download so don't say I didn't warn you!    I lived there from '56-62, and then a few years each in the  '70's and the '80's, plus visits in between.  I'm amazed I found this map b/c it absolutely shows my slice of paradise.

When I was aged 2-7 we lived in a house just a few miles below the Capilano Suspension Bridge.  Our kitchen faced downtown Vcr and our living room faced Grouse Mountain.  We had a huge backyard, about the size of a football field, with three different levels.  The lot next door was still forest, with a creek, and one couldn't ask for a better playground.  Lots of flora and fauna, including racoons (which we fed) and cougars (which my Mom reported).  I think I cried for a year when we left.  My Mom missed her family in Winnipeg.

We used to go up to Capilano Park quite often.
My cousins came out to visit and my brother and I freaked them out by running across the bridge, which you're not supposed to do, BTW
The Capilano Suspension Bridge and the Canyon:

Totem Pole Park is also a big attraction there:

They also have a huge salmon hatchery there:

The wood carvings on Grouse Mountain are quite famous but I'll have to post that, along with pics of Grouse, in Pictures, b/c they are huge and I don't want to ruin them.

My favourite mountains, The Lions.  You can see their peaks from just about anywhere in Vcr, even on a cloudy day:

We also used to visit Cleveland Dam quite often:

To be continued....... hehe!
