There are many wood carvings rising out of the snow on Grouse Mountain.  This is a carving of an eagle:

 

 

 

Ambleside is my favourite beach on the North Shore.  You can't see it but to the right is a bird sanctuary and carpets of wildflowers.  I used to walk along the beach quite often, especially in the cooler months when there weren't many people.  There was a huge rock at the water's edge where I sat and watched the ocean, boats, and birds.  My thinking rock lol  Very peaceful.  I always dreamed of living in one of the high-rises on the beach........you just never know.......I might win the lottery!
