MamaJ...I am thrilled that you have found both a place and other people who are intereted in the same thing you are.  It sounds like you have it exactly right, where the BODY of believers are responsible for the ministry that takes place.  Each person using his or her gifts for the benefit of others.  It's RARE, so cherish it.

 

Musicgal...Glad you joined us!.  Tell me how you would respond to this....If you are not doing it as an act of worship, what value do you think it gives to God?  Let me explain...I think that the things we do for God that are from our heart and with an attitude of worship, are pleasing to God.  because our INTENT is to worship Him, regardless of whether we do it well or not.  But to do somthing out of obligation to a commandment for no other reason sounds hollow.
