For anyone interested in American Indian lore I highly recommend Dreamkeeper.  It's a 2003 movie about a storyteller telling the old stories to his teenage grandson.  The cinematography is fabulous and the stories are inspirational.  It's a 3 hour movie broken into "stories" so it's easy to stop and restart if you can't watch that much at one time (like me).  Anyway, it's an excellent movie.
