Thanks everyone for your kind words and support.  What a couple of weeks this has been in my family, huh?!?  Surprise of surprises the doctor did call me - on my cell which was turned off, but at least she left a voice mail.  (I actually left instructions for her to call on my landline - oh well.)  And she left me her numbers in case I want to talk to her again.  Anyway, the news was cautiously positive.  Very positive regarding the lungs - which she says are much clearer.  The cardiologist wants to run a heart stress test on Monday and if it's ok, he'll let her go home.  Am keeping my fingers crossed!!!  And praying a lot of course.

Cindy:  I'll hopefully know much more on Monday or Tuesday and then I will make my decision.  I'm assuming I'm moving as scheduled but if mom must have a caretaker I'll ask if they have any two bedrooms that we can switch to instead.  I'm trying to picture you sitting all alone in your living room wearing 3-D glasses LOL!  Sure hope you enjoyed the movie!!!  Very sorry to hear your folks have been ill.  Man, when it rains it sure does pour!  We also had incredible weather today and people were out in droves.  When I checked my computer at around 1:00 p.m. it was 57 but it was very very windy.  Ran morning errands in a winter coat half unzipped when not walking against the wind and wore a summer windbreaker this afternoon when we were going by car.  That's a great idea to apply for that job!  Good luck with that.

Diane:  See my reply to Cindy re: your question about the apt.  It might be doable if necessary.

Upper:  Of course you will be welcome anywhere we go!  You better come back to us :).  No problem that you wanted to delete your posts.  Last time I checked this was a stress free zone (of sorts:)).

Sherri:  You got that right - try to stay calm - impossible.  Had a good colon attack tonight when I finally relaxed some - no surprise there especially given the drastic weather changes mixed with stress and off schedule eating habits.  In some ways I'm doing very well - on the other hand, I think I may have totally lost my mind!!!!!  The brain is functioning fine as far as important matters are concerned and totally not functioning with basic day-to-day matters.  Hopefully all will be better soon.  I'm babying myself a bit for tonight and tomorrow anyway.

So, I actually figured out how to download a ringtone!  But I still don't really know what it cost.  The ringtone itself was only $2.49 but taxes are added and a "download" fee - no one tells you how much that is.  Guess I'll find out when I get my bill.   Came very close to downloading Sweet Home Alabama (one of my fav songs) (and quit laughing Rhonda) but just couldn't condone a Chicagoan having that as her ringtone LOL.  Finally settled on Spinning Wheel by Chicago!  I was looking for something upbeat that I'd recognize when the phone rang, partic when there were 50 other people in the vicinity with their own cells.  It's sure better than the latin music I had on my other cell and far better than what came with the new phone.  I'm actually loving my new phone and I haven't even tried half of the stuff on it.  Discovered it's one of the most popular phones when I went to the AT&T site.  And I'll never use 2/3 of what's available I'm sure.  I've actually been wanting a new phone for a long time, just didn't want to spend the extra $$.  I think this retails for $150 when it's not an upgrade, so I guess I did good.

Rhonda:  I've been meaning to mention that I'm watching Season 1 of Mad Men (from Netflix) and it really is addictive.  I'm on the second DVD now.  3 eps per DVD.   I couldn't believe how "angry" the first eps made me - being the oldest one here I too easily recall how it was in the office in those days.  Granted I didn't start working til about '61 (and that was a dept. store) and '65 in a real office, but that junk was still going on.  And people wonder why the women's liberation movement started.  Hah!!!!  And another thing that you probably didn't get as emotional about but I couldn't help was the Jewish/Christian thing.  How we were not allowed in certain country clubs, etc.  PLEASE DO NOT CONFIRM THIS IF YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS, but I'm convinced Draper is a Jew pretending not to be.  Not so unusual in those days.  I remember many of my Dad's friends changing their names to be more anonymous and Americanized in the business community.  The acting is superb so I'm putting up with my personal angst over some of the story lines.  What season are they in now?  We can discuss when I catch up :).  Excellent show and so different from much of the other stuff on tv.

Ok, I'm going to either watch another ep or a movie.  I need to keep chillin'.

Beth
