| P.S. I was wondering what year the movie is supposed to be taking place because if the girl is 20 in the year 2008 (when the movie was filmed) and her alleged dad's and mother had "fun" 20 years previous -- that would be around 1988, not 1968, as they're suggesting. In fact, in the movie Meryl Streep's mother disowns her when she becomes pregnant and that's the sort of thing that would have taken place in 1968, but probably not in 1988. They also make a point of showing the men as former flower children so the movie must be taking place around 1988. I don't remember them mentioning this -- does anyone else? |
