Kelly “Kilani?Clarkson was beside herself with anger.  Outwardly Kilani appeared to be her normal lovely self, but inwardly what she wanted to do was spit nails and tack someone to the wall with them.  Who does that trampy Starkey wench think she is, acting like some sort of diva!  I’ll show her who the real star is!  And the way she’s all over Justin ?it’s disgusting!  Kilani sincerely hoped that Justin could see through that patent phoniness.  If it weren’t for the fact that Herman Krause had asked that the girl be given a part in the movie, Kilani would have booted her off the set on the double!

Ryan Starkey was oblivious to Kilani’s antagonism.  She was too busy using her charm to try to lure R. Justin Guarini into inviting her to visit his dressing room during the break from shooting.  He was even cuter up close than she had imagined.  Ryan wanted to get her fingers into those curls and kiss those yummy lips?/DIV>

“Justin, there’s a phone call for you.?nbsp; The voice of the director’s assistant broke into Ryan’s lurid thoughts.

Sneaking a small sigh of relief, Justin excused himself, leaving Ryan to fume helplessly. He hurried into his dressing room and picked up the phone.

“Hello.  Justin Guarini here.?/DIV>

“Justin, this is Bunny Hopper.?/DIV>

“Bunny, how are you?  I’ve been so worried about you.?/DIV>

“I’m doing quite well.  I expect to be discharged from the hospital in a few days.  I’ll be going back to my home if the arson squad has completed its investigation by then; if not I’ll have to make other arrangements.  At any rate, I have a very big favor to ask of you.?/DIV>

“Anything I can do to help, Bunny.  You know that.?nbsp; Inwardly Justin was exultant that she was asking him for help.  Little did she know that he would do anything for her!

“I don’t know if you are aware of the fact that my sister is in L. A.  No one must know that she is here ?it’s a long, sad story, Justin ?one that I don’t wish to go into at this moment.  Suffice it to say that it is very important to Bonny and to me that her presence in L. A. is kept quiet for now.  I know this is an enormous favor to ask of you, but do you suppose she could stay in your suite at the hotel until I know for certain when I’ll be leaving Cedars Sinai and where I will be residing?  I don’t know who else to turn to, and I feel that I can trust you.?/DIV>

“Of course, Bunny.  There won’t be a problem at all.  The suite has plenty of room and Bonny is welcome to stay there as long as needed.  I’ll be in town for quite a while shooting a movie.  I’ll let the front desk know that I’m expecting ?oh, I’ll say, a cousin; and I’ll arrange with them for her to pick up a key.  When might Bonny be arriving at the hotel??/DIV>

“Thanks awfully, Justin.  I knew I could count on you.  I’ll ring up Bonny at her hotel and have her check out immediately.  She should be there within the hour.  I feel ever so much better now.?/DIV>

“No problem, Bunny.  I’ll call the hotel right way to make the arrangements.  See you later.?/DIV>

Immediately after the call to Justin was disconnected, the phone on Bunny’s bedside table began to ring.  It was Bonny.  After hearing her sister’s tale about the theft at the hotel, the visit from Hotel Security, the search of Bonny’s room and the possible compromise of her disguise, Bunny was certain she had done the right thing in asking Justin to allow Bonny to stay with him.

“Bonny, listen to me,?Bunny said quietly but firmly.  “I want you to pack up your things and clear out of there.  Take a cab to the “The Standard?on Sunset and ask the desk clerk for R. Justin Guarini’s suite.  Justin will have informed the hotel that he is expecting his cousin.  You will be staying at the suite until I am discharged from Cedars Sinai.  I trust Justin implicitly and I’m certain that you will be safe there.?/DIV>

“All right, Bunny.  I’ll start packing now.  I’ll call you when I’m safely at the suite.  I apologize for being so much of a burden.  I should be helping you and here you are having to care for me.?/DIV>

“Bonny, I’m so very happy to have you back home. I have missed you dreadfully.  Regaining my sister and my partner is well worth whatever problems have to be solved.  I just want our lives to get back on track.  Go on now.  I’ll be anxiously anticipating your call.?/DIV>
